Ok -- This may be a stupid question

I've see the afternoon thundershows last as little as 20 minutes and as long as 2 hours. It varies according to the heat and humidity of the day.

HINT: If your shoes get wet, stop in the lobby and get a newspaper, and stuff the shoes full of newspaper over night. In the morning, the insides of the shoes will be dry.

Wow! Thanks for the tip. I never knew that before. It does make sense! I will have to remember this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will cross "extra shoes" off my list and save the packing space.
Thanks again!

OK I'm ready for Florida :sunny: -- it snowed last night!! About two inches of heavy, wet stuff down to about 8700 feet. It is beautiful out , though....
We are still waiting for our first snow fall of the year, here in Houston. :rotfl2:

You are now on my S list. S-word, that is. :)

:cool1: Thanks for the great tip...now I will not worry about my shoes being wet the next day!

Just a hello from another CO person! Had to move in Jan 05 for a job but miss CO daily! My userid says it all.

The Mickey ponchos are great but we found that the dollar ones are preferable since they take up much, much less space! We take unopened ones to start the day in a ziplock. We can fold used ones back into the ziplock during the day and trash them after a couple of uses.

Have a great trip! We'll be there in 40 days.

I was there in late Sept/early Oct one year, and let me tell you....it poured Cats, Dogs, Elephants and Rhino's...going to the TTC to get back to the hotel, I thought I saw Noah's Ark being filled......had to dry the sneakers in the hotel clothes dryer for 2 hours the next day. The walkways out of the park to the Monorail and Boat docks are all downhill....the water was just rushing to get to the lake. If that were the only time of year I could get vacation....I'd still go back!!!!! Have a magical, hopefully not to rainy vacation!
