OK, this is weird I know...

I don't think TTA will ever close. I was watching a 2 hour special on Disney World (On christmas day it was on) on the History Channel. Modern Marvels:Disney World. They said that it's a popular attraction and uses magnets to run and they spent a good amount of time talking about TTA, with no words about it ever closing. TTA is such a nice relaxing ride after you've been walking for a few hours!! Plus I love 3/4 of the way on the ride "Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow. You're party from Saturn has arrived. PLease give them a ring" HA! I love it!

I love it too!

Funny story--I took my mother-in-law on it one year, along with my 4 y/o and 11 month-old. When it approached Space Mountain, she panicked, thinking I was taking her on Space Mountain. Um, yeah, I just took you on a rollercoaster without telling you, and have a baby not strapped in. :rotfl2:

Thanks to MrToad for starting this thread. I have always been a little embarrased to admit how much my DH and I love this ride.
And michygoomy, DH's reaction was exactly the same as your Mom's the first time we rode. His knuckles turned white and he gritted his teeth and was rather angry at me but only temporarily.
I am hoping we can ride when we go back in May. It's a little problamatic because DH is 83, a little shaky, and has very sore feet. I worry about him stepping onto that moving sidewalk. Hopefully a CM can give him some support so we can ride this one last time.

It will always be the Wedway Peoplemover to me! My license plate is "Wedway" - and I drive a suburban - a real people mover!

My husbands FAVORITE ride!!!!! We went for our first trip last May and he made us ride it over and over again!!!!! I think he enjoyed the relaxing ride and that was time he didn't have to walk anywhere.

I love TTA too! So did my dd5. And my mother. DD and I rode it 3 times. It is great to be able to see so much of Tomorrowland and you can catch nice views of the castle, too. I love that it also shows you glimpses inside Space Mountain. :thumbsup2

We love WEDway (oh..TTA)!! When I would visit WDW with my family, the Magic Kingdom was the only park. After a while, the group of kids and teens would get tired of some of the rides so we would ride the People Mover over and over. I love it that my kids enjoy it as much as I do!

ahhhhh! Our family loves this ride :goodvibes It's allways a must when the lines are packed and we need a break.... :cloud9: Wish I were there....

Another TTA fan here. :thumbsup2 It's one of my favorite attractions in the MK!

I agree. TTA is definatly one of my favorite rides .. I felt a little weird too hah a :lmao: It's just so relaxing and comforting, especially when it's hot out. & I have met so many nice people to talk to on that ride. I dont go to disney without going on it!

So true! We grab root beer floats and relax. No lines. No crowds! And last year, Space Mountain was down - the ride stopped and all the lights were on!! It was awesome !!! We video taped it - all lit up! What a cool memory!!! ::yes::

Love TTA. One of my favorite things to do is ride TTA three times in a row (they have always let me stay on), just before normal park closing time, to be followed with extra magic hours after closing. Since TTA is not among the attractions to be kept open during extra hours, it's a great way to kill time while the park is shifting into the extra hours mode.

Each TTA circut takes 10 minutes, so I get on board about 30 minutes before normal closing time, and ride until they close it down. After that, it's time to experience extra magic hours.

Works for me.

Enjoy.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the People Mover (yes, I am old and I will always call it the People Mover no matter what the new name is!) and nurse my son on it now when we go. :rotfl2: RELAXING! He likes the ride, too.

This is one of DH's favorite places to film from. I also love getting photos of the lights at night in MK from there. We ride this at least three to four times each time we are at Disney.
