Ok I am trying to understand Fast Pass. How many can you get on each WDW ticket at a time? Can you get more than one FP on each ticket say for diffrent rides? Can you get more that one for the same ride? How do they work? What if you are late for your time? What if you have more than one for the same time on 2 rides?

And what IS pal Mickey?

To answer your questions:

You can only get one fastpass per ticket at a time no matter the ride.

Pal mickey is a Mickey about 12-14 inches tall that interacts with you throughout the parks. What you do is turn him on before entering through the gates of any of the 4 parks and he then knows were he is throughout the park. He will give you little facks and tidbits about the area you are in and also will let you know where the characters are, the shortest ride lines, and when the parades start. He also tells jokes and plays games.

Once you are out of the park he will continue to tell jokes and play games.

I bought one in July and plan on bringing him back with me in October. He is a lot of fun. He costs around $60 but you can rent him for $8 a day and if you decide then that you want to keep him they will trade the rental in for a new on and apply the $8 towards the total.

On bit of advice though. He cones with a clip on the back of him that you can clip to you pants, bag, etc. It doesn't work. What I did was get a bottle lanyard, the kind that you can adjust in size and long enough to go around my neck and over my shoulder. Then I took the clip off stuck the lanyard through the loop and then around his neck, then tightened it. He wasn't going anywhere and the lanyard though the loop that was originally for the clip kept him in an upright position.

Hope that helps. :wave2:

Not exactly. You may actually hold more than one fastpass at a time, just not for the same ride. For example, if I get a fastpass at Tower of Terror, it will not only give me my return time, but at the bottom of the pass it will say, "Another fastpass ticket will be available after xxx time". More than likely, that time will come around prior to your return time. So even if you have not used your fastpass for Tower of Terror, you can still go to Rock-n-Roller Coaster and get a fastpass for that ride as long as it is after the time at the bottom of your pass.

:)

MY appologies.

I guess I assumed that was the case since we ran into some trouble when we were there. We tried to get a fastpass for "Dinosaur" but when the ticket was spit out it said it was unable to issue it because we were currently holding a ticket for "A Bugs Life".

I guess we were trying to get the second one too quickly and didn't notice the time at the bottom of the first ones. We just though it meant one at a time.

Thanks crzy4mk :wave2: I will pay more attention to my tickets when we are there in October.

Sorry ssatterly :( for giving you the wrong info on the fastpasses.

It actually doesn't matter what ride you are getting the fastpass for if you are within the time you can get one. I had a TOT FP, my return time came around as did the window for getting another FP (actually my new FP window opened up 5 minutes after the return time window did), I wanted to ride TOT one more time and got another TOT FP, while I was holding the first TOT FP.

When you approach a FastPass attraction, you will be presented with a LOT of information. You will see a line labeled "Standby", along with a clock indicating the approximate wait time. The Standby line is for folks who do not want to use FastPass. So, if you approach the line for Space Mountain and the Standby clock reads 10 minutes, you should only have to stand in that line for about 10 minutes before you will board a car.

You will also see a separate section for Fastpass. Listed above the FastPass queue will be the return time IF you get a FastPass ticket immediately.

In other words, if you approach Space Mountain at 10am, and the FastPass Return Time is listed as 11:50 to 12:40 (it's always a 50-minute window), you know exactly when you will have to be back in the area to use a FastPass ticket obtained now. If that time works for you, there are usually 6-8 FastPass ticket machines. Stick your park pass in any one (similar to an ATM) and you'll get back your park pass along with a FastPass.

If the time listed doesn't work for you (will have left the park by then, eating a meal, parade, etc.), then just don't get a FastPass.

As crzy4mk said, you can hold more than one FastPass at a time. Each time you get a FastPass, it will not only tell you your return time for that attraction, but it will also tell you the time you can get your NEXT FastPass. The next FP can be for the same attraction or an entirely different attraction--doesn't matter a bit.

If you have questions once you arrive at the park, there are almost always CMs overseeing the FastPass ticket machines at each attraction. They should be able to answer your questions.

When we were there a month ago, the time given to get another fastpass was 5 minutes after the fastpass became active. For example, our fastpass time was 10:05 to 10:55, and at the bottom it said we could get another FP at 10:10. We would get another FP at that time and then go on the first FP ride after 10:10 but before 10:55.

Let me answer your question with a question:

Given a choice of waiting in a Standby line for 45 minutes, or getting a FastPass and returning 90 minutes later and then having ZERO wait, which do you think would make more sense?

A lot of it depends on how long the Standby lines are, and whether the FastPass return time fits into your schedule. That's why both of these pieces of information are provided before you even get into a line.

What is the single riders line? How fast is that?

The single rider line is used on SOME attractions to fill odd seats in the ride vehicle. For example, on Test Track, the cars seat 3 people across. Whenever a party of two indiviudals approaches the boarding platform, they will pull one person from the single rider line to fill the vehicle. We used the single rider line once--on Test Track, and it worked great. The only problem is that if you get into the single rider line you a GUARANTEED to have your entire party split up. There is ZERO chance of you sitting right next to someone else in your group.

Well I ask all these questions due to the fact I don't know what is better? I have never been to disney. So i am trying to plan ahead. I did not mean to sound stupid by asking the question.

There is no pat answer to your question that will apply in all situations.

Let's try this: you walk into a barber shop/beauty salon. They tell you that you have two choices--you can either sit and wait 45 minutes for someone to attend to you, or they tell you that you can come back in 90 minutes and someone will take you right away.

Which option is better? Probably depends on what you have to do the rest of the day.

Same is true at Disney. If the FastPass return time doesn't conflict with anything else you have planned, you can use the time to go on other rides, eat a meal, do some shopping, etc. If you opt for the Standby Line, you'll be winding your way through a queue for 45 minutes.

Generally speaking, FastPass can DEFINITELY help you see more attractions than you would by waiting in the standby lines. Depending on the circumstances, you need to decide which alternative makes the best use of your time.
