Now that silly Halloween is out of the way, us Christmas-aholics are itchin' to drag all the Christmas decorations out!! C'mon, who's with me?? :santa:

I want this BAD:

One of my M&M inflatables died last Christmas, and I want something to replace it. If I had a spare hundred bucks right now, I would so be getting this. :rolleyes1

So 'fess up -- who else is jonesing for Christmas tunes, and seriously wanting to pull all the Christmas stuff out?

I'm with ya! We were at the mall this morning and the Christmas store was open. I looooove looking at all the decorations. :lovestruc

Dh and I started looking at lights this morning :) I like the inflatable and might have to talk DH into buying it. We had a few casualties last year due to the cold/snow of Michigan, but now since we live in a slightly warmer climate they might last.

Halloween goes down, Thanksgiving goes up. Christmas decorations don't come until after Thanksgiving. Since we're headed for New York for Christmas, I'm hoping my wife doesn't go too crazy with the decorations, but I have very little hope in that respect...

Not yet for me. I wait until after Thanksgiving to even start thinking about Christmas decorations.

I was going to put up one of my trees this morning and the other one tomorrow but my daughter woke up with a stomach virus.

I am getting excited!

Our Christmas tree theme indoors is black, silver and gold. We have a HUGE picture window, so you can see our tree from the outside, so I like to match the indoor tree to the outdoor decorations! :goodvibes

We never go overboard... just a strand of lights around the picture window (white), and a strand around an evergreen shaped bush in our front yard (white), a strand on our front door (white), and a matching silver wreath on the door!

That sounds beautiful! I hope you post some pics of everything!

And for me, Thanksgiving is just Christmas, Part I... I much prefer red and green and silver and sparkly, to orange and brown and black and :crazy2:
It's simply a matter of aesthetics for me. :) The smells, the music, the colors, the plain ole' happy feelings, everything about Christmas just makes me smile deep on the inside. :goodvibes

I thought about it this morning but I know DH would have a cow if I started this soon. Most of my Halloween stuff is really just "fall" decorations so I can keep most of it up for a while yet. We will decorate after Thanksgiving like usual. I am keeping my eye out for outdoor lights on sale though. I want to put some lights on the trees in our back yard this year-but want to go with LED's for that. I am not sure what I will do in the front yard. I LOVE our old fashioned white lights but I don't love the electric bill.

I like how the fallen leaves look... for a minute. Then it rains, and they are muddy, and the wind blows and they are in your garage, or under your deck... and then it is annoying. :rotfl: Christmas time is much nicer... I also like the smells, the sounds, the tastes... :goodvibes

See my ticker.

Halloween decorations are down, Thanksgiving decorations are up and Christmas will start very soon. I have already started to shuffle Christmas music in my IPod and some of the shopping is done.

I asked DH that today and he said no. when Thanksgiving rolls around, if they're not up, they're not going up, since we aren't allowed to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas at home. If we're not here, there's no point.

I'd love to decorate for Christmas...but DH will have none of it, lol. In his house growing up, decorations went up about 2 days before Christmas :sad2:. I like to put decorations up no later than the weekend after Thanksgiving.

But...I have been buying decorations already to get my 'fix'. :lmao:

I am, but not because I am craving it. I just took down the Halloween decorations, and since we will be gone over Thanksgiving and 5 days before Christmas eve, I want to get started so I don't have too look at it as a rushed chore. I will do the mantel and tree first, then the outside lights, but nothing lit up or visible outside until closer to Thanksgiving. I don't do Thanksgiving decorations.

I have been thinking it's time to get out the monorail set and start the annual assembly:earsboy:

Since I don't celebrate Christmas, I won't be decorating. My partner can get a tree if he wants but I doubt he'll bother. The shops are FULL of Christmas stuff already - I may have to relent and take part in my favourite aspect though - Christmas cake :rotfl:

I'm with you OP! This will be my first Christmas in my new house and I have been itching to decorate for Christmas since...oh.....JULY! LOL!!!

I won't start decorating until December, but I am starting to make my cards. We may just put up the Christmas village earlier. I have started shopping and making lists though. We are excited because we thought it was just going to be me, DH and and DS this year but both DSS's and a fiance are coming .

I cannot wait to start decorating. It's been 2 years without a tree and we finally have another one this year. Time to pull out all the stops. Plus I do a huge christmas village in front of our fireplace, it has roughly 30 houses including a few disney ones.
