OK so who was there Veterans day though the weekend?

OK, we will be at the parks next year for Verterans Day though the weekend. Next year Veterans Day is a Thursday so I understand it is closer to the weekend but was wondering if this is a crowded time of the year. I also know Harry Potter will change things up a bit. Just trying to get excited a year out. LOL

I was there during that week. Got to US around 4:00pm on Monday. Not much crowds and was able to ride quite a lot in the 2 hours before closing. Tuesday was at IOA. There were NO lines on anything, and I was able to basically walk on any ride. Wednesday (Veteran's Day), I went to Disney, so cannot tell you what the Universal crowds were. Disney was very crowded though. Thursday was the busiest I'd seen it at US. We did a part day (as I had Christmas party tickets at Disney). There were lines at most of the rides, and did not get much accomplished that day, exept for a couple of the shows. Friday was not very crowded again. Split the day between US and IOA. Most rides, except for HRRR and MIB were walk-ons. Simpsons had a small wait that day, maybe 10 minutes.

We visiting on Thursday (11/12) and Sunday (11/15).

Actually, Thursday was the busier day, even though it was only in the 50s and cold. But, busy doesn't cut it. Spiderman, Hulk (it was cold, let me tell you), DD (also very cold), Mummy, Simpsons, even Shrek, were all pretty much no more than a 10 minute wait. We arrived at 11:30 and by 3PM had ridden all of the above along with a lunch stop.

On Sunday, a beatiful Sunday, we arrived promply at 9AM at starting at IOA, we did Hulk, Spiderman (2), Dudley, Jurassic Park, DD (5 - yes 5 times), High in the Sky; we then moved over to Universal for Mummy, Shrek, Rip-Ride-Rocket(2), Simpsons and MIB. We the lunched at the Whopper bar. Returning to IOA, we did Spiderman, Dudley, Popeye (2) and DD again. We did not have fast passes. We left, exhausted, around 3:30. This includes being stranded on Popeye for 20 mintues waiting to be evacuated! The only lengthy line was Rip Ride Rocket, but as I was single, both my waits were less than 10 minutes.

So, line wise, this was a great time to visit.

We were there on Veteran's Day. I was really shocked at how empty the parks were. We went to US during the morning. There was a Veteran's Day parade @ 10am. We did nearly all the rides and T2, Horror Show by 1pm. We didn't ride RRR, because we had been on it the day before. We ate at Hard Rock and went to IOA and rode all the wet rides and Spiderman and were back at the hotel hot tub by 3pm. The only disappointment, was that most of the rides at US were not open until 10 or 11am. I think the only 3 open before then were Shrek, Mummy, and RRR.
