I did my first t shirt the other week and was really pleased with it. I found it so much easier to just print the design onto a sheet of paper and iron it on, so much better than the glue style stuff I'd used before.
Trouble is, the instructions for the paper I used said that it could be machine washed so of course I turned it inside out, popped it into the washer on a cool wash and guest what....the design is peeling off in great chunks. I had washed the T before I put the design on so I can't think what went wrong. Perhaps despite the instructions [destructions???] it should not have gone in the machine even on a delicates wash.
One thing I did observe was that the design had a rather 'papery' feel to it and I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like this or not. However so that I don't make the same mistake again can I ask for suggestions as to what I may have done wrong?
