OK - seriously - is there ANY good food in DHS???

We ate at the Sci-fi in July and the ribs were delicious!! One of our favorite meals of the trip.:thumbsup2 The atmosphere was also alot of fun.

We have only ever eaten at the Sci-Fi. Ever since we have gone there, the fam won't let me book us anywhere else! It's wonderful. The theming is extraordinary and the food is quite good.:thumbsup2

What about pizza planet place in dhs? We are eating at the sci -fi I hope that one is good!!!

My kids so they HAVE to eat @ Pizza Planet when we are there. They like it. I am not a pizza fan (no saliva so it is not easy to eat). DD15 ordered the veggie pizza thinking it would have red sauce and veggies. It was a white sauce and spicy! So she sticks with the cheese or pepperoni.

We have been to Sci Fi. I must say we all liked it. My son ordered a burger at supper which is not on the menu but they will fix it for you. My daughter had the Reuben I think that was the sandwich. She is kinda picky and said it was ok. I had some soup but don't remember what it was. Hubby had steak and vanilla coke and enjoyed it.

I will add that we have had great experiences at DHS, Mama Melrose is often our favorite meal of the trip, Sci-Fi always good fun, and love the shrimp penne pasta, Brown Derby Cobb salad Out of this world, and as far as CS, Starring Rolls never disapoints.

My question to you though is are you normally a curry enthusiast? That dish has tempted me in an emergency just on the basis that it is not normal CS fare.
I've had a few curries in my day---one of the blessings of living in college towns/neighborhoods. ;)

I think you've got it about right. It's not great, but for fast-food mass-produced curry, it's surprisingly adequate. Works well in a pinch, and a wonderful break from the deep-fried-cheese-covered death march that is a typical Disney vacation.

Oh, I almost forgot: We like Sci-Fi too. My wife, who is a Rueben afficianado, proclaimed the dine-in's version to be "pretty good." The burger was better than the average WDW burger. The environment was way too much fun for words.

Another good word for ABC. The curry is fine and the hot breakfast is perfectly Ok too. We have always found the H&V evening buffet before Fantasmic perfectly Ok. Good service and decent food, not a meal you will recall and tell your friends about but perfectly acceptable and good value by WDW standards.

We had lunch at Mama Melrose last week -- the food was good and not very expensive for a sit down restaurant. We were on the Dining Plan but did not want to use a TS because the prices were so reasonable.
:goodvibes :goodvibes

First of all, we are so incredibly aggravated  by the removal of both the vegetable lo mein and the veggie wrap from ABC Commissary! We ate at this CS at least twice per trip. :sad1:

On the other hand, the new grilled veggie sandwich at Backlot Express is very good. :thumbsup2

There's always Pizza Planet with veggie pizza and some decent salads.

We'd like to try the Flatbread Grill, but it is never open when we visit.

On the TS side -- we have had very good meals at Brown Derby and Mama Melrose. Our food at 50's Prime Time was good too and the servers' show is always great fun.

We love 50's Prime time. The Pot roast, fried chicken and the Salmon are all very good. We will be eating there again this yr for the 5th time. It is the one place my DH wants to go to each time.:goodvibes

You can only get decent food (not spectacular) at the Studios. We like 50s Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi Dine-In. The latter is perfect for a nice and relaxing lunch. Dinner at Prime Time is a hoot and very fun. :)

You might also consider taking the boat to the Yacht Club and enjoy dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. It is a nice treat.

We like the Sci-Fi, and are going to try the Hollywood Brown Derby this trip! :thumbsup2

The vegtable pizza at Pizza Planet was not bad.... Not outstanding, but edible and probably the best fast food I have had at DHS!

Actually I have had SEVERAL good meals at Prime Time Cafe. It's not "gourment" but it's not bad (and the Somemore Desert is wonderful LOL!)

Yep!! Good food is a turkey leg and a bucket of popcorn!!! YUM!!!

We thought the food at Brown Derby was the best on property! I had the crabcake appetizer, Ahi Tuna and Grapefruit Cake. DH had the cobb salad appetizer, steak entree and flourless chocolate cake. All was to die for!

We just got back and tried the Brown Derby for the first time. It was wonderful!!:thumbsup2 My DH got some sort of steak and he said that it was better than the Yachtsman Steakhouse!! We were both completely satisfied with both of our meals. The grapefruit cake is delicious also.:thumbsup2

50's Prime Time is my family's favorite WDW restaurant! The food is great and it can be a lot of fun if your server is into it. We also really like Sci-Fi and Toy Story Pizza Planet.
