ok ladies, lets discuss "unmentionables"

I went to target the day before I left not really looking for something that would help hold me in, but I found it!!!
It was in the women's section-not the teenybopper spaghetti strap wearing section, but the section they stick with the maternity clothes!
They are in all different colors and they are tank tops-not spaghetti strap tank tops, but real tank tops and they have a built in bra and are tight fitting just like the spaghetti ones would be, but you can wear a bra with them. You could also probably not wear a bra, but with my ladies, I needed a bra with it too. I will tell you, when I wore it to the park, they did not move! it was great! I bought a size smaller and I was glad I did. I really felt like I didn't have to worry about it.
They are also nice enought that you could just wear them out and about too! I think they were about 8.00 and totally worth it. I haven't found these shirts anywhere else!
they had small, medium, large and xlarge.

IOA can be wet, but I just got back and I tell you, they changed some of the rides and they were not as wet as they have been in the past. My shoes didn't even get wet. now, with my new shirt i spoke of in a previous post, it dried very quickly and I wore a pair of those-what I call "cheerleader shorts" that are made by I believe soffe. They run about 6-8 dollars and they are great for parks. They dry out quickly and they don't cling to you when they are wet. Also, they are cool throughtout the rest of the day when they are dry!

Champion makes a great sports bra that hooks in the back like a normal bra.

That said, Use your hairdryer to dry your bras! I hand wash them in the sink, the drip dry them overnight. Then use the hairdryer to dry them a little in the am, and by that evening they'll be all dry :)

Lots of sales on bras right now, saw a lot of 2 for 1's and by two get one free by mail in the past few weeks, good time to pick up a couple more? :)

As far as the panties go--the microfibre panties dry in a flash, and most have no panty lines!

This is an awesome thread - I hadn't even considered the underwear issue! I'll have to go shopping and check out my options. ::yes::

Someone on this thread mentioned a cami from a company called solutions that came in your bra size. I ordered 2. Let me tell you....they are awesome. I am a 34dd and these actually give me support. They are underwire and lightly padded some even the light colors give you great coverage. So anyone looking for bra tanks....I highly recommend these.

here is a link if anyone is interested......

dansyr,
That was me that posted that info. I've been checking back here to see if you liked yours after you said you ordered them. I'm glad to see that you do! I love mine, too. I ordered 2 the first time and after trying them out ordered another one and the halter style one. They will all be coming along in my suitcase to Disney this summer! I love that even the white one is not the least bit see through - they are plenty thick where it counts!
Enjoy!

I love the Champion sports bras too Anne!!! I got them before our trip to WDW last August and they do indeed wick!!! And I am in no way small chested!!! I did buy some of those shelf bra type tops, with little skinny straps. Well, there is just waaaay too much of me hanging out. Nope, that was fine in my 20's but not now!!!

mog.

I'm going to order a couple more too. How are the halter ones????

dansyr,
I haven't worn the halter one out and about yet - just tried it on. It fits pretty much the same as the others and I like the different look of the halter. I'm not sure if having that tied around my neck will get annoying in the heat of summer at Disney, though!

I'm an, ahem, larger girl and I swear by Lane Bryant bras. I don't buy much else there, but their bras can't be beat. Not the wire ones - many of their styles and designs come in "soft cup" versions that work (i.e., are supportive) even for me at a 44DD and nursing. They last for me for about a year until they start losing support and I replace. But I buy when they're Buy 1 Get One Half Off so I try to save a few at a time as new for trips and such.

Plus, if you're nursing, you can just yank the cup down, feed and pull it back up when the baby's done. No messing around with clasps or snaps. Very convenient!

I too am nursing (but won't be during my trip - am weaning now!) & have found that the nursing pads really help draw the sweat away as well as drawing away any leaks I may have. I have been wearing the tanks with the built in bras & putting my breast pads right in the built in bra instead of wearing my nursing bras. I have the Gerber kind that have double stick tape to keep them in place. It is great because they catch leaks, absorb sweat & cover any showing of nipples. I think I will use them when I am at the parks even when I am no longer nursing!! If they get really wet you can easily replace them & they take up no room in a backpack or whatever!
Great thread!! Lots of good info!

Here's another vote for the Barely There undies. I found these while I was pregnant and have never gone back to anything else. I was in FL last week and never had any problems with being hot and sweaty. I haven't tried the bras, but am going to check on them. They aren't cheap. I paid about $8 each, but are worth every penny!! I bought mine at JC Penneys. ::yes::

Oh, and I throw mine in the dryer and have never had any of them unravel.
