We took the main paths from the very last villa in the last building at CP to the main pool etc. The fartherest distance from our villa was to the boat dock, which was 1.24779 miles round trip. Artist Palette, the front desk, etc were slightly less, but not by much. We measured this on our pedometers. Maybe we missed some short cuts which would have made this distance less; I am not sure. But that was our experience.HUFF590 said:Just to give you an idea of how spread out the resort is; we were in the last building in Congress Park--to walk to the main pool, Artist Palette, the front desk, store, boat dock, etc., was 1.25 miles round trip.
Our jogging map says it is only 1.44 miles around both CP and Paddocks starting your run at the main pool turn right at first building CP run along side the lake to last building turn left and head back to first right and go around the Paddock section all the way back to the main pool, all this is only 1.44 miles.![]()
What would you rather have there?Par8hed said:For what it is worth..... I agree with you. I think SSR was a big mistake in the overall scheme of DVC and I wish it never happened. ( My apologies to all who own there, no offense intended, I just don't like the place). No, I'm not stirring the pot. No flames please.

Just to give you an idea of how spread out the resort is; we were in the last building in Congress Park--to walk to the main pool, Artist Palette, the front desk, store, boat dock, etc., was 1.25 miles round trip. We were very surprised at just how spread out the resort was and just how far we were from the food court, etc., so we measured it with our pedometers.
It was quite a distance from the main hub of the resort but we had an amazing view of DTD and of the boats going by.
