Hi Bob! Glad you joined us :welcome: Now that I am officially booked, things should move along here nicely. Sorry about all the craziness leading up to this.

I bet they are excited! Going to be a bit weird for you though...first time that it isn't just you and Midori, right? And sharing a room to boot....yikes :scared1:. But I know you will have a great time. Is CBR a new resort for you two? It looks so fun and cheery...just a little too big for me. I love the looks of their food court though popcorn::

LOL...yep, that's what I was thinking. I think I have switched to Flickr for good over PB now. Maybe PB will learn when everyone leaves (except D because she is stuck) and change things back :confused3

That's great Susi. And what's even better is I get to meet you and I get to meet D as well...so very excited.

Okay, now that we've got this photo thing figured out...

Back to Cape Coral we go.

Monday morning we woke up refreshed and our travel nightmare was in the past. My Mom had to work the first two mornings, just until noon, which wasn't ideal but it was necessary. So my Dad took Bill, Bradey and I out to our favorite breakfast spot down there

Bob Evans :cloud9: They have these amazing stuffed pancakes that I just crave! I know it's not exciting...just a chain, but we don't have them up here in Maine, so we love it.

After our bellies were full, we went back to the house. It was about 10am at this time and Mom had a couple more hours to work. So Bill and Bradey played in the pool a little more. I was so proud of Bill on this trip...he never goes swimming, and Bradey was having so much fun with him.

We had a little watermelon snack for lunch...well Bradey and Dad did. Bill and I were still full from breakfast. Watermelon is Bradey's favorite food and kind of a tradition that he has it with his Grampa.

Yummmm.....

When Mom was done working, she and I went shopping for a few things we needed. We just hung around the house the rest of the day. Dad and Bill took Bradey fishing without even unhooking the boat.

He has a blast just catching these little fish and releasing them.

We went to Carrabbas for a yummy Italian dinner. For some reason I only got Bradey's meal on camera....bad DISer. Here is his chicken and pasta.

We go to dinner with all the old people when we are down there. Not sure why, but we are always hungry early....but at least it is less crowded then and it leaves plenty of time after dinner for the sunset canal boat rides we so love.

We had a lot of fun on this particular ride because Grampa made some waves for a fellow boater hauling a tube. Bradey really liked bouncing over the waves. His daddy...not so much. Bill isn't a boat person. I grew up on a lake and I love boating. Thank goodness Bradey is taking after me in this!

Me and my little man

So another day down the tube...but it was a nice relaxing one. Another work day for Grammie tomorrow. And Daddy's first deep sea fishing trip....stay tuned!

Oh and did I mention.....

:cheer2: We're booked! We're going to Disney World!!! :cheer2:

Just in case you missed it :thumbsup2

That's great Susi. And what's even better is I get to meet you and I get to meet D as well...so very excited.

:cool1: Yay...so excited to meet you and Mark! I will make sure to have my Dory backpack with me so you will recognize me :wave2:

I am really feeling defeated here....

I have always, my entire life had a computer with Microsoft Office installed on it from the beginning. This included the Microsoft Picture Manager. Where you can just double click the image and it pops up in that screen to be viewed, copied, edited, etc. If you click on edit then resize, a window would pop up and you could click on pre-determined sizes "web large" "web small" "document large" "document small" etc. This new computer didn't have office on it, so I just downloaded the OpenOffice suite and it all worked the same except for the photo editing. The plain old Window Photo viewer is great for viewing, but no editing capabilities.

So...today I downloaded the Photoshop package. Just the trial thank god. I am having a real hard time doing anything on there, but I'm sure I would get used to it. But the resizing tool on there is not pre-defined sizes. I have no idea what dimenions to put in.....I need the "document large" and "document small" options.

So, I just decided to pay the $150 to download the Microsoft Office suite. And guess what!!!! There is no longer a Picture Manager! Nope....$150 down the drain for NOTHING! I should've just kept my OpenOffice for free. It does all the things Excel/Word/Powerpoint does.

 I am just too sick and tired of this. I cannot use photobucket to resize my pics. And now I can't resize them on my desktop. So, either I have HUGE pictures on the rest of this PTR, or I just don't do it.

Can someone help me?? Do you know the proper size ratio of pixels for a document to be the right size for here?

Going to go bang my head against the wall now for a while! :furious:

why DIDN'T YOU CALL ME?!?!?! I have ALL THIS!!!!
Windows 8 does have a great photo editing!!!! you need to text me later i will help!!!

Thanks Mo, but I figured out how to "back door install" Microsoft Picture Manager....so I am back in business. Plus I switched from PhotoBucket to Flickr and they size the pics for you with one click. Problem solved :cool1:

I know I read your update this morning - I thought I responded...

As usual, Bradey is such a little heartbreaker! I just love seeing photos of this happy little guy!

Love the photos of your evening boat ride, that sunset looks truly amazing - I could live there - honest!

Super excited that you're booked (as if I haven't mentioned that anywhere else)...

D~

Sounds like a perfect first full day. We used to love Bob Evans, but they've gotten very expensive here and the food has gone downhill...it's a shame because we don't have a lot of breakfast choices besides them and Denny's which we detest. We go to a local pancake house once in awhile but they are very pricey too.

You can sure tell that Bradey is loving his watermelon and his boat ride. :goodvibes

Good Morning Suzi - We were there July 0f 2011, really enjoyed the Resort. How about this, Lucy's Mother has decided to go with us...Now this will be really different. I've known Lucy and her Mother for 9 years, I guess I can say since Midori and Lucy were in Pre-K.

But sharing a room with Lucy's Mother will be a bit uncomfortable but She will not have it any other way!!!!!!!! Helps cut down the cost of the whole trip I guess.

It will be ok, I will just have to get up at 3am and get ready and then leave the room until all of the ladies are ready to go...:lmao:

On another note, Fort Worth will see 70 degrees today. WOW!!! Disney is getting really close. Ready for this? Pulled out the suit cases Sunday :rotfl2:We went pre-disney shopping yesterday, Nike tennis shoes for Midori :scared1: OMG !!!!! 125.00 all I can say is Salmon color shoes are cute. Went to Victoria Secret to purchase a back pack for Disney also. Midori on spring break is expensive, she is on the internet shopping.

DD 13 is eye awakening - Sephora makeup, Urban Decay palette. I had to get her a Makeup Vanity last week. My lttle girl is growing up......:scared1::scared1::scared1:

First of all - I am still using Photobucket... But I have not done the jump yet - I am afraid to. I know it's mandatory in the next week +, but I have heard so many bad things about it. I am kind of stuck there, because I paid to have their extra service for 2 years... Let's just say that I will be doing LOTS of complaining to them if I am going to have issues.

Looking at your new ADRs, it still doesn't look like much lines up... However - we may join you for you AoA dinner if you don't mind? That is a water park day for us, and I hope to be done early... I do want to make it over to AoA at some point to check out the resort, and that might be fun? Not sure if you want to try to plan something like that with us? Let me know. :grouphug: or :crowded: LOL

Which day is it that we may be in MK together? I want to try to get some of my Dismeets put into my Mini-Planner. ::yes::

D~

Not a fan of the photobucket AT ALL!!! it's horrible... Flicker is OK. Snapfish? don't they do the same thing?!?!

May i ask that when you do the AOA dinner you do HEAVY pictures?!?!?! :thumbsup2 They really need a smilie with a camera... just saying...

I'M so happy your BOOKED!!! :cool1: :dance3: I am REALLY SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!

Your Son is simply adorable! those eyes are killer! He will be breaking hearts soon!!! You look SO happy with him on the boat, it's awesome to see.

any computer stuff you need let me know???

Hurray Suzi for Booking! I know that is an awesome feeling...:thumbsup2 Love all of your ADRs... have only not been to Crystal Palace and plan on rectifying that in July...:goodvibes

Love that you got away to the sunshine of Florida... my favorite pics are the ones with Bradey fishing...:goodvibes He's so cute :)

personally I think the the whole fiasco with Photobucket is a royal pain and I have come to the belief this past month that computers are a necessary evil... with the emphasis on evil... my mac has been in and out of the shop ... 3 times...:badpc:

I'm really happy for you though and now you have the fun of second guessing your ADRs and planning...;)

Just stopping by to wish you a good morning... Sorry I didn't get much time to chat last night. ;)

D~

Sorry guys....It has been a heck of a week here. Drama, drama, drama...and sickness. Bradey and I have a little (very annoying) cold thing going. Hoping it is almost over. We have another foot of snow coming our way tomorrow night through Wednesday :sad2: Just so sick of it! It is frigid tonight...single digits and below zero with windchill. But they tell me spring is around the corner...

I know I read your update this morning - I thought I responded...

Thanks D. He just loves going to visit Grammie and Grampa. We Skyped with them today and he said he wanted to fly down to go fishing again. Just breaks my heart that they are so far away all winter. We are so close to them...Oh well, they have worked hard their whole lives and deserve it.

We noticed that Bob Evans had gone downhill too. They took their stuffed pancakes off the menu...they still made them for me, but they aren't on the menu anymore. And they were out of biscuit cowls (my Mom's favorite) both times we went! You would think that would be one of their top sellers...and really, how long does it take to bake some up fresh?? But I rarely get to go out for breakfast at home, so it was still nice.

Yeah, that will be some change! But I'm sure you will all have a great time :dance3:And you'll be able to get some great early morning CBR pictures to share on your TR...right??

On another note, Fort Worth will see 70 degrees today. WOW!!! Disney is getting really close. Ready for this? Pulled out the suit cases Sunday

Oh..70 would be heaven after what we have coming our way the next few days. I am so sick of winter! I haven't pulled out my suitcases yet, but only because I have another trip in between there :thumbsup2

DD 13 is eye awakening - Sephora makeup, Urban Decay palette. I had to get her a Makeup Vanity last week. My lttle girl is growing up......

I bet! It makes me so glad I have a boy :thumbsup2

May i ask that when you do the AOA dinner you do HEAVY pictures?!?!?! They really need a smilie with a camera... just saying...

Absolutely! I can't wait to get pics of that resort. I have actually been thinking of switching over to AoA for this trip. If there aren't any good POR discounts, I will be switching for sure. We would be so much more comfortable in a suite. I think we are going to have a hard time waking Sara up in the mornings. And if it proves to be an issue, Bradey and I will just head out and she can catch up with us. She's an adult...I'm sure she can handle the bus system on her own if she can't get up with us. But AoA would give Bradey and I our own room and bathroom to get ready in. We'll see...But don't worry...our dinner there will be very picture heavy!

I'M so happy your BOOKED!!! I am REALLY SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!!

I think I have the computer figured out now. How is yours treating you?

Oh, I am never completely done with my planning...that's half the fun! I am very excited about this whole Fastpass+ thing because it is just another level of planning. Can't wait to hear more about it.

Just stopping by to wish you a good morning... Sorry I didn't get much time to chat last night.

Thanks D  You guys helped a lot. I am done with the whole situation and moving on. Still haven't talked to her...she avoided me at pickup/drop off the rest of the week. Her loss.

Moving right along with my mini TR from Cape Coral....

Tuesday morning my Mom had to work until noon again. Bill and my Dad had a deep sea fishing trip planned, so they were up and out early that morning. Here's a few pictures from that trip.

These were redfish. They brought a few home, but we never got around to eating them. Too many good restaurants down there!

Bradey and I slept in a little then had some breakfast and walked over to a playground they have in the neighborhood.

This playground is right next to a BMX bike park, so we watched the boys jumping for a while, then headed back to the house to see if Mom was done yet. It was around 11am by now and the sun was very hot on the walk back.

She was still working, but poked her head out to tell us it wouldn't be long. So we just hung around the back yard snapping pictures.

That's my favorite color of her hibiscus. Love the yellow!Bradey was being very patient.

I just can't get enough of the palms. They put these in as babies when they moved in...they are really taking off. That one up above it a Royal Palm. My favorite are the smaller Foxtail Palms like this one....

The lanai and pool

Of course I had to have him pose. We are making this a new now and then photo spot. This palm was original to the house, but it used to be out front. They thought it was dead, but decided to see if they could transplant it, and it has just taken off. It was about knee-high when they moved in!

Oh, and who can forget the "fishy table"...

That was a yard sale find...she paid $1 for it! It's my favorite piece in the house I think.

So by now, Mom was done work. Dad and Bill still hadn't called to say they were heading back, so we just hung out at the house for lunch. Mom and Bradey went in the pool and soon the guys were heading home.

It was a great day. Bill got burnt to a crisp on his neck and ears. He remembered to put sunscreen on everywhere else, but boy was he in pain that next morning :lmao: Sorry...not funny.

Up next....shelling on Sanibel Island!

OK - first - AoA... Have you checked the prices on the suites? I checked them when we first decided to book our Oct trip (that is no more), and I found that the suites were almost the same price as staying at the Poly... Unless I did something wrong? My POR and FQ resort rack rates were definately cheaper than an AoA suite. I am happy if you stay where ever though - I think we still have several meets planned, right? I need to look at our schedules again and see where they overlap, since I have not done that since the potential day late arrival of ours.

Loved the FL TR update... That little Bradey is sooo stinkin' adorable!

The fish that Bill caught were really cool - I bet it was really hot that day - it just looks hot!

I love that fishy table too - I used to have a fishy bathroom when Josh and I were first married - I loved it. I was so sad when I had to "grow up" and get rid of it - LOL... I still have all the stuff packed away in the basement, I may resurrect it one day. ;)
