body sculpting class, regular body sculpting class and have stopped snacking and have only lost two pounds in 2 weeks! I used to be able to lose faster than this! I guess when you turn 35 everything goes downhill. I get discouraged when the scale doesn't budge. I can say that I'm noticing spin class is not quite as taxing as it was. That's about all I can say that's good right now :guilty: . I'm not giving up, just ranting. When I complain at work all I get is, " You should live in my body" and "you don't need to lose weight". I get so mad and just say, "Well, it's not about YOU, it's ME and how I feel". Sometimes I just want to scream.

Not stalking you, Vital. I saw your post on the Katrina board, so I had to check out a few of your other posts. I joined the WISH board this week. I say stick with spinning and maybe even get a decent road bike and hit the road. I started cycling in December and lost 15 pounds in about 3 months. I've always heard that a slower pace is better for keeping the weight off, mainly because it signals a more permanent change in lifestyle. I've enjoyed cycling for the low-impact aspect. Running kills my legs, but cycling is pain free. Plus you get to see so much more scenery than running or in a spin class. I even worked my way up to a 100 mile ride in April on the Natchez Trace. I burned over 5000 calories on that ride. Of course, I couldn't spell my own name after the ride, but it still felt great! Good luck on your plan.

You rant all you want here! It's ok.

I do understand though what you say. It is discouraging when others say things that make us feel they don't get it. Take it for what it's meant, a compliment, and keep at what you know you must.

Your body is fighting that loss. I remember reading somewhere that there is a memory when we gain back and try to lose. Our bodies fight for every ounce. Eventually you will see results, never give up! Being a healthier you is always worth this battle we face.

Keep on keepin' on. You are doing it!

vital,stay with your program it will work. Do you know your max. heart rate? If so try to work at 70% of all out effort, this will burn fat. Once you get 85% or greater you begin to burn muscle,which may noy help you with your goals. Mix up your intensity levels for overall fitness but concentrate on the proper intesity level to burn fat. Also after spin class eat good food so that your body will not go to muscle looking for nutrients.Do not allow yourself to get hungry day of spin, just eat right and small amounts all day.Weight lifting is another good way to burn calories if you can fit into your schedule. Get with someone at your gym to show you how to lift properly,so you do not hurt yourself.Stay motivated because you will see results, focus on how your clothes fit, not the scale. Ignore the people at work, and listen to those that will help you to attain your desired outcomes. Let us know how you are doing. :thumbsup2
