I just got off the phone and booked 4 nights at HRH for myself, DH, DD4 and DS6. I am the major Mouse fan in my house but no way DH was going back to the World. (3x plus Wonder cruise in 2 years....he may have a point!). Anyway can someone tell me that the kids are going to like this! Is there "enough" for the little guys. We want to spend some down time at the hotel so we are not planning on going commando. Just a nice leisurely vacation with some rides. Anybody have experience with kids this age at US/IOA? What should I expect? Thanks for any info.

They will have a great time! We have three daughters, now 9, 7 and 4 (almost 10, 8 and 5) and we've been going to US/IOA with them since they were babies. At US they love Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Twister, ET, Barney, Fievel's Playland, Woody Woodpecker Nuthouse Coaster, Curious George Waterplay area, Men in Black, Fear Factor, and Jaws. At IOA they love the Cat in the Hat, Red Fish, Blue Fish, the Carouseussal (sp?), Jurassic Park Discovery Center, the Flying Unicorn, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Pteranodon (sp?) Flyers, Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges, Spiderman, and Storm Force Accelatron (sp?). There are also several water play areas throughout IOA that my girls LOVE! I think the biggest difference you'll notice about the on-site hotels is that everything is within walking distance if you choose to walk. Everything at WDW is so spread out that you have to take a bus, boat or monorail. You probably couldn't walk things if you wanted to. Have a great trip and have fun planning!

ALSO, you'll have your FOTL express w/ your room key, so there is no need to "rush" around and do it all! You can take your time and do it at your own pace. No need to be at park opening to get the good rides in (unless you want to ride Pteredon Flyers, front seat of DD or/and Hulk). You will truly be more relaxed at UO than at WDW! ;)

Wow, thats the first time Ive seen someone book the hotel, THEN ask if they'll enjoy it.

But like the others, I think you'll all have a great time, there's a lot of fun places for the kids to play in both parks.

There is a great sprinkler/water area in US. It is by the Woody rollercoaster in the curious George area. It was great! My kids (4 and 5) spent 2 hours there playing. It was worth the price of admission. We had a good time and my hubbie and I want to stay there in the future. We ate at the race car rest. on the second floor on the balcony as the sun was going down. It was so pretty. US/IOA is the most beautiful park that we have ever been to. It will be relaxing. Have a great time. Tara
