WHO'S COMING?
ME! The mom. THE mom.
Old. Not too old, but old.
GIRL. THE girl! My only one. 15 and perfect. She's my hero and my idol and my angel. Noone has been or deserved to be loved more! Ya, I'm biased, it's all good.
BOYS. Two of them anyway, the little ones. 7 & 9. Just the funnest little fellas you ever did meet!
WHO'S NOT?
The Big Boy.
He's 19 5/8's. He's pretty much done (for the time being) with the yearly Family Florida Theme Park Trips. Where oh where did I go wrong? I burnt him out, I'll admit. Every spring since he was 4. Bringing along each younger sibling as they arrived. My big one, the one that wants to see the world. As soon as he realized "Disney" wasn't really the "world", 
he started revolting. The last few years have been painful. Filled with brochures on every other place to go showing up in my purse, my laundry basket, by sock drawer! I have given him some other trips... Washington DC, Manhattan, a bunch of camping... but still, I LOVE FLORIDA IN THE SPRING. It's an addiction, I'll admit. 
SO... to keep everyone happy, I told him I would give him the bucks part of this trip and he could go SEE THE WORLD! Well, a few hundred don't get ya far... but he and a few friends are going to Bonnaroo in TN this summer. It's a 3 day music festival. Think a "green" Woodstock.
Ya, I got some reservations, but he'll be 20 by then, he's a good boy, going across the country to college in Sept, so I gotta let go. And I am. And it's all good.
Enough about that. I'm good with it, I really am!
THE HOTEL(S)
First two nights we are at RPH. Did not sign up for club level but since reading the boards and seeing the pics ! I am seriously considering asking for an upgrade.
Of course we chose this hotel for the obvious reason, FOTL, and being there for 2 nights give us 3 days of that. I think that will get us everything we want in US/IOA. Also very interested in the pools. LOVE that we can hop, unlike Disney.
Next 4 nights, Hilton Universal. I have heard nothing on these boards about this hotel. It's very new, just opened last September.... I have read reviews other places and it seems perfect for us. Great pool, which really, is our biggest selling point as a family. I plan on spending lots of time in the sun, warm, relaxing. Got a great rate too, so.....
THE TIX:
7 day/2 park $99 - Oh ya, envy me!
I think I was the last person to get these through Dreams Unlimited. I bought them not even knowing for sure we were going, but I knew they'd never expire and ya, every spring we're here, so it was a no brainer.
THE PARKS:
What can I say. We will do them, we will do them right. We're total Disney Commando people. We can handle this. I've been a few times, as side trips, during our Disney Trips. My Girl has come the last 3-4 years with The Big Boy for a day here and there. We know it, we love it, we're good. My 9 year old is a big thrill ride junkie, so he's good. My 7 year old, not so much. He's my baby, he's a little... cautious, we'll say.
but we can do the swap when we need to, so that's good too! 
OTHER STUFF:
Mardi Gras. Now originally I planned to go during the Aretha week. ALL over that but work stuff didn't allow, so now we're there for 3 Doors Down. I'm sorry. I don't know them. If they weren't THE band/group in the 70's, 80's and SOME of the 90's, I'm not feeling it. Sure there's a bit of music here and there since then, but, eh, like I said, I'm old. But apparently the Girl knows this group, so we will "ry very hard to make it a point to get there"
Parades, eh again. Not totally into it. But if it happens, it's good!
