to part with some of my precious pins.

I've accumulated hundreds. It's almost like Frodo and his precious. I want to hold on. But I'm ready to trade.

Where's the best place to do this on line?

Okay there are three places you can try to trade. One is right here in the trade board that shows above the collectors board. You can list what you want and what you have for trade and see if you can find a match.

Two on Dizpins.com they have a trade board that works the same way.

Lastly, you can enter your trades and wants on Pinpics.com and then follow the directions to send out trade requests.

Unlike the trade boards (DIS and Dizpins), Pinpics offers an automated trading tool called the "trade Assistant." This allows you to select possible trades from your available pins, matched against other people's pins.

The Trade Assistant sends emails to the other traders, and sends you a log message.

I use the trade assistant on pinpics almost every day to send requests. I usually get requests almost every day, too. I really enjoy it and have made some great trades.

The main thing to remember when you use it is to not send uneven requests. For example, don't ask a person to trade a Lilo and Stitch DA pin for a rack pin.

There are hints on how to use the TA on the dizpin board.

Have fun!
