I seen it said if Dismey is busy US is busy....ell never being to Disney the first week of June, how is that week? We are planning 6/1/08 -6/07/08.

also, Disney is pretty good about the rides accomadating bigger (pooh sized), how is US with this?

Right now I see online you can buy 2 park 7 day passes for $86....If I was to buy those in a couple weeks, would they be good A YEAR LATER????

I also see the dining. How exspensive are the places to eat? We would only be eating lunch and dinner....would we really spend $35 a person on hamburgers and a pop twice a day? Too me that seems a little exspensive knowing you will just eat lunch and dinner. no snacking, nothing like that, so will a burger fries and pop really cost $18 once to justify the cost of 2 meals?

Also any other help would of course be appreciated being this is our first time at US after a few WDW trips.

At the counterservice meals inside the parks, burgers and fries usually cost around $5-8. At CityWalk, many of the sitdown restaurants (Margaritaville, Nascar, Hard Rock, etc) offer burger meals and that sort of thing for around $9-12. I'm sure the places like Emril's would cost quite a bit more...we always avoid the really expensive places.

If you are staying onsite, I wouldn't worry about the crowds because they won't be a problem since you will have front of the line. I went around those dates last year and I didn't think it was too busy, except Friday-Sunday. But even on those days, the park is empty for the first hour or two.

Also, I believe most, if not all, of the rides are fine for Pooh sized people. Many of my family members have no problem. The rollercoasters might be an issue, but they have test seats available outside before you wait in line. Also, some rows offer more room so you may want to request that row. ( I do not know the exact rows as I hate rollercoasters:laughing: but I'm sure someone on here can tell you the rows for each coaster)

Thank you NotAmused,

We will not be staying on site, so crowds will be a factor...lol, unless I pay for the express.

So based off of what you say about the prices I am thinking the dining wont be a major concern for us to purchase. Unless we want a nicer sit down meal.

As far as summer goes, the first week of June is not too bad. This is the week we always go. It will be crowded, but manageable. As someone mentioned, if you stay on site, you will get the benefit of Front of the Line Access. I highly recommend staying on site even if you are planning a few days at Disney.

Yes, if you purchase the $86 7 day passes, they WILL be good a year later.

The cost of the meals at Universal/Islands of Adventure vary by food type. I always budget $10 per person per meal for counter service and that has worked for us thus far. We also budget another $5 per person per day for other sundry items like dip 'n' dots, water, etc.

Most the rides do have certain seats which are intended for more pooh sized persons. Most of the "try out" seats are not the larger seats so don't be discouraged if you can't fit into the one located at the front of the attraction. When you get to the front of the line, just let the attendant know that you need a larger seat and (s)he will get you to the right place.

Feel freel to ask as many questions as you like....

The best advice is to get to the parks before opening. That is the best way to avoid lines and have a great day!

Since there is no expiration date or activitation date printed on the back of the tix, it was my understanding that they would be good anytime in the future (with the usual usage 7 or 14 days, whichever it is-can't remember, from 1st use).
