or a miracle if you believe in them. We are planning a trip to DL for Dec 31 - Jan 5. We have a budget for 7 adult 1 child 6 day hoppers. I would like to surprise a family of 4 with tickets to join us. I'm now trying to find a way to buy 11 adult 1child 4 day hoppers for close to the same price.

Any ideas? Where is the absolute lowest price tix sold? Thanks for any help.

Is your hotel already booked? I only ask because there is a bit of a discount ($15 per ticket) if you go starting Jan. 4th.

Unfortunately the difference is drastic. The price for 11 adult and 1 child 4-days is $2,790 whereas the price for 7 adult and 1 child 6-days was only $1,988. This is direct from Disneyland.com. You can look into places like lastminutetravel and getawaytoday but I don't think you'll save much more than $10 per ticket :(

It is a longshot, but I would check AAA (if you have it) and lastminutetravel, provided you are CERTAIN your first day IN the parks be 12/31. Many months ago, right before or after the price hike, we bought adult 5-day hoppers through AAA, first use MUST be by 12/31/11, for $211 each. So it is POSSIBLE some places may still have that old stock of tickets at that sort of price, which would get you CLOSER.

Short of winning the tickets for free, I'm not really seeing your tickets happening for the SAME price, though. Disney makes it ridiculously cheap to add on extra day or two....on the official site, it looks like it's a $17 difference between a 4-day adult hopper and a 6-day hopper. Even if you do 4-day, 1 park tickets, it's just a $32 difference between that and the 6-day hopper.

So like I said, you might be able to get closer, but I really doubt you'll get to the same price. Good luck!

Call getawaytoday after looking at the website. I was able to purchase 6 day PH adult for $211 last week for use in December. The price was $247 on the website and I saved $36 each just by calling.

There is a thread somewhere that discussed this.

Thanks! I do have the rooms already. Got a great deal at price line that I could add rooms for no extra in my budget. As for tix it looks like that 211 is the lowest price anywhere. That's bout 2500 for 6 day. We could all use 5 days and then I can sell the left over day on all 12 tix. That should get it in price! Thanks for the help!!!

Unfortunately that won't work. It is illegal to sell the extra day on your tickets. The person who bought them would be taking a huge risk as well. Disney has been cracking down on this practice. All tickets are non transferable.

Also, How can you be sure that Priceline will have extra rooms for you if you need it?

I agree with Lisa. This is a really bad idea for a lot of reasons, especially the fact that it's illegal. Don't do it.

Every time we've used Priceline that opportunity to add rooms or days to your reservation isn't open ended, it has to be done when you make the 1st reservation.

If they were bought through Disney couldn't she get a refund for the last days tickets and use that?

Not after use, she'd have to do it ahead of time and possibly at gate prices depending on the CM. plus it's only $10-15 per ticket.

OP, Disney will likely make you each sign a 6 day ticket. No selling off extra days.

I've also found great deals on Disney tickets at the following website Billy Boy's Discount Tickets. You can do a search for them or go to gatorland discounts (one word) . com . It won't let me post the website on here...

I've ordered from them before and they are quite reliable and usually had the best deals around that I could find on multi-day tickets. I've also made hotel reservations at a Disney resort through them for less than I could if I did it directly through Disney.

Just another option.

This thread is starting to make me a little nervous. OP, what you're trying to do by taking another family as a surprise is noble, but the money just isn't there and I sincerely hope you don't break the law in efforts to make it happen. I also want to make sure you don't fall for a disreputable company's claims. Please buy from a reputable source, such as AAA, Disneyland.com, getawaytoday, lastminutetravel or ARES are ones that are tried and true on these boards.

Anyone know what the rate is for a group rate? Or how many counts as a group?

I thought of that but it's 15 for adults, and you have to be a qualified non-profit. For kids I think it was 10, but it has to be ages 3-22.

Are group discounts available?

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park offer discounts for groups of 15 or more from qualified non-profit organizations. For detailed information, prices and tickets, please call (714) 781-4565.

Disney Youth Groups also offer specially-priced group tickets—perfect for field trips—for youths ages 3 to 22. For information and reservations, call (800) 232-7980.

I have to agree with you! And I am glad that Disney is cracking down on people selling thier leftover tickets, because of that unethical practice, it causes Disney lovers like me to pay higher prices!

Thank you all so much! Your very kind. I asked for a miracle and one was given.
