Thanks everyone.
Right. Because 14-18 year olds ALWAYS run around acting like "Spider Man" after watching his movies....or start cheering in the halls and doing backflips after seeing "Bring It On".
LOL! That's true.
I have a very interesting story to tell everyone that goes along with all of this...
I found out at the end of my junior year (a few months ago) that Musical Theatre International (MTI) was releasing the rights to Rent: School Edition. All of the kids in the class, including our sponsor, made plans to go and see the show being performed at a high school about an hour away (although it was a long drive, we as students knew that it was going to be totally worth it.)
So we went, our sponsor did not. Part of it was his dad died a few weeks prior to the show. However, we were all very pissed that he did not come and see the show because we knew now that he did not see it our chance of doing it completely slipped out of our hands. And it did.
When we saw him in school the next school year, it was completely out of the question. It was too hard, we don't have that kind of money, we dont have that kind of talent, the principal wont go for it, bla bla bla bla bla... The excuses were endless.
The students and I started acting outside of school because we all felt we had major potential that was not being reached. We did "Dorothy Meets Alice" over the summer (it's when Alice in Wonderland meets the Wizard of Oz. Again, our teacher was skeptical about this one for practically the same reasons). AND we did the play AT THE LIBRARY!! (I volunteer there, so I sort of had connections)...
anyways, to condense the ending (to "cambells" it, if I may), we did a fairy tale night which I practically set up, and this spring we have no idea what we are doing. HOWEVER!!! We are doing one of our plays that we did at our fairy tale night at the library in the spring

AND over the summer, we are planning on doing Into the Woods
AND AND AND!!! If we have the funds, we are planning on doing rent in the fall, but moving down the road to our performing arts center.
Therefore, in my book, we are doing better without our sponsor!
