The Atlanta paper does a big travel section on Thursdays and nothing showed up yesterday. I'll be getting the Sunday paper around lunchtime tomorrow and will be checking it thoroughly! Disney has been known to advertise outside of the travel sections too so check the big sections of the paper.

I am on hold with CRO right now. I got an email taht was titled "your WDW vacation planning package is on it's way" and in the text of the email it offered $59 @ value resorts in September and then said "other special rates available at other resorts and for dates from 9/30 to 10/30." It did have a PIN #. It's not what was offered with the $49 rates before but I'm hoping for SOME SORT of discount in October!

Great, just my luck, I finally get an email with a PIN and I call and neither the CRO CM or guest services can pull up any info on it at all. He said his screen says "room only promotional rate" but has no other info at all.


Lamest info possible from guest services. "That code isn't active yet. You ordered a video last week and you need the stuff that will be in the video to explain it."

Whatever. why would the put a PIN in the email if I had to wait for the video?????

Hopefully, it could be good news, maybe they are prepping for the rumored Sunday discounts. Keep us posted if you try calling again.

I'm definitely going to call again but I'll give it an hour or so. The email time was 4:17 and I was on the phone on hold by 4:30 so it had literally JUST been sent out.

I can buy that it's not active in the system for some reason...although it's kind of stupid to send it out before it's active....but this "you need to get the video first" thing is, IMHO, just a way of saying "we have no idea what to tell you about why we can't get any info on this for you."

still a no go on the code in the email about the vacation planning kit. Last CM I spoke with said it's not active in the system yet. She suggested I call back this weekend and then said "but call tomorrow because it will be really busy here on Sunday." I asked about AP or other discounts for October and she said "not yet. But it will be really busy here on Sunday and that's about all I can say, OK?"

something else. When the big email thing started I requested videos in my name and in my husband's. I requested his online and mine by calling CRO. I got emails that both were on the way. Mine had a code, his didn't. Same day requested, same zip code, same demographic but different method of request.

There aren't any discounts in my Sunday travel section. I get that part of my paper today and I looked. It has the same old AZZ code with the same old dates of 9/29. Hopefully we will get something soon!

All I have to say is, thank goodness my kids don't know about this trip yet-I'm driving myself crazy waiting (for AP codes)-I don't think I could take having them feel as anxious as I do!!

Could be but I would have gotten that already too. My paper man delivers everything in the Sunday paper on Friday evening except the front page, business, sports, and local. I have always gotten those big separate Disney ads on Friday also. I just looked through the rest of the paper since I hadn't thought about those big sections and didn't have any luck.

Passing along some info...I called this afternoon around 5:30 central time for some PS's. I also asked to check if there were any emails sent to one of addresses that maybe I accidentally deleted. The CM was on for what seemed like 2 minutes, then said no we have not sent you any email resort discounts, however, keep checking your email as they are being sent out in batches and there was supposed to be another mailing today sometime. Also he said to keep a watch for the Sunday papers.

Maybe all th CM's are tired of us calling and pulling our legs, but it seems like a lot of them are saying to watch out this weekend.

Well, I finally got through to someone who could pull up my code from the email I got today. For a code that wasn't active in the computer till after 9:30 tonight there sure wasn't much left.

I wanted WL or CR. At WL they had concierge and a deluxe jr suite and that was it. CR had one king garden room and that was it. Poly had garden view and lv concierge. AKL had a lot available (she mentioned no standard view). The only moderate was CS and with limited availability. Didn't ask about the values.

The prices I was quoted were also a lot higher than what people with the previous email rates.

Didn't get prices on the WL rooms b/c I figured they would be out of our price range.

I'm seriously hoping we see more availability with other codes! There are still rooms available at other views, this was just all she could offer me with the PIN I had.

Okay the paper is finally here. Sorry to say they don't give anything beyond what we already jnow. Dates only going to September 29 and only the general code at that.

So puch for my Tinker Bell night shirt. Switching over toy Grumpy as right now that is how I feel.

Question- I want go to WL in early December. Do I book the room now and then when discount codes come out Disney will adjust the price down? Or- do I wait for the discount code to come out and then book the room?

Yes you can book the room now and then once the codes come out, Disney will adjust the price if you have the discount applied to your current reservation.

Once the codes come out, call the CRO and tell them you want the AP discount(or whatever discount comes out) to be applied to your current reservation. Hope that helps.

You know what is sad -- I am so programmed to check these codes each morning, that I actually got up TWO HOURS early this morning without an alarm clock. I layed in bed a while trying to go back to sleep, but when it was apparent that I was up until at least after 7 am, I bit the bullet, got up, made my coffee, and logged on here. And I don't even think anything is going to be released today with all of the "Sunday paper" talk.

We are a sad, pitiful bunch! I'll be glad to get my life back!
