Has nothing to do with Disney but quite a few have been asking me questions and as I do not advocate that I am an expert on the subject , I am happy to relate my experience with the company.
Let me start by saying I have never felt more normal in my life than on an Olivia vacation. To be with a community that large was well life changing.
The entertainment they have is fabulous. To see Kate Clinton perform one night and then to have her be the bingo caller the next was hysterical (bingo who knew?).
Other cruises I have been on have had the same type of excursions. There is nothing special about Olivias either. No gay themed anything. What is special about them is unlike on other cruises where you feel that you are with a bunch of strangers on Olivia excursions you feel like you are doing them with a big group of friends.
They have a great singles program, which I was unaware of. The age of the average cruiser is older than I had thought. Which made me happy because then there was not a boat full of young things filled with lesbian drama .wait let me rethink that a boat full of 20 something lesbians . Oh sorry back on track here
.
There slogan feel free is truly accurate. You can feel free to be with who you want, do what you want heck hang out on the pool deck topless if you want ( and its not just for little perfect body things either last time at the pool games we had a 55? Maybe 60? Let it all out no big deal!)
So yes they are expensive but I fell worth every cent. I have made lifetime friends on some of these trips
! They do have there downfalls, one of which I would say is the staff of Olivia (very unprofessional) and they have (from what I understand) a strict policy on f/m or m/f which I feel is unfair and unfortunate
