OK I did it!

Didn't think we would get to WDW this year, but with the MYW and free dining, well you know..... Our dates are 8/24-8/30. I first booked POFQ then changed to AKL. It was only $430.00 more so I decided on the deluxe, will I be sorry? We previously have stayed at the WL, CR, and ASMO. Really liked the WL, the rest were just OK. Will I feel like I am so far away from the best parks? AK is usually just 1/2 a day for us, we spend more time at the other parks. Your advice and opinions are greatly appreciated.

It's a beautiful hotel with a spectacular lobby (similar to WL), three excellent restaurants, a wonderful pool and spacious, comfortable rooms. There's a great outdoor fireplace with rocking chairs, but that's not much of a feature for summer! However, the big plus is looking out your windows or walking around the property to gaze at the animals. We love that so much that we don't care about direct park access. And if you have to get on a bus or drive a car to get to the parks, which you do for all your former hotels except WL, does it really matter if it takes a few minutes to get somewhere when you're staying in a deluxe resort with giraffes outside your window?
