Ok I am starting to panic and need comforting please

I just did something I have never done before and have given some info ie checking account info to a Instant Impressions Travel Services to someone named Sandy Nussbaum to book a Disney Pop Century resort. DId I just seriously screw up by doing this with them rather than going to diney online site for booking vacations? I am feeling terrified right now that I did a very bad thing without checking them out first. I am not normally this idiotic when it comes to my money or information pertaining to it but I was so caught up in the excitement of it all that lost all my senses with dreams for me and my family. Please someone tell me I did a good thing and didn't screw up my life.
 
Checking account info? That's a little unusual- are you just paying that way instead of credit card? Try a search at bbb.com to make sure the company is reputable.
 
:thumbsup2 You are fine! Sandy is a terrific person and I can't say enough positive things about her. I met her on the disboards and she has been an angel with our travel arrangements. Honestly, you couldn't have chosen better. :cheer2:
 
I am not sure what you did re: the checking acct data? Did you give SANDY your checking acct info so she could deduct a certain amount from your checking acct., like one does when they PAY a bill ONLINE.

In any event, did you inquire as to any cancellation policies this company may have. Call her back and ask her what the cancellation policy is and IF you are this uncomfortable with it all CANCEL it when you are on the phone. If she has already deducted the money from your acct., and they have a cancellation policy, then I am sure SANDY can refund your money by a check in the mail.

In the meantime, go on the Disney site and see if they can offer you something better than Sandy did. Or go to Dreams Unlimited or any other Disney Vacation Trip Planners site (AAA) and see if you can get a better deal. SEE IF SANDY CAN MATCH THEIR BETTER DEAL IF YOU FIND ONE!

I really was just like you. I found Sandy, or rather she found me, online posting with questions and she helped me find a better way to afford my vacation. She really has been terrific with us (I even had my girlfriend in Vegas contact her for help!) and I'm not related to her at all!
 
I would suggest calling them to get a confirmation on your reservation....then check with your bank to make sure no additional charges have been submitted....just wondering how you found out about them...I did a search on the Internet and didn't get any hits....are they saving you any money? Unless they are saving you alot of money, I would cancel the reservation with the travel company and book with Disney directly....or go through AAA.

Sandy was able to direct me in places to go such as delta airlines and even went so far as to email me a copy of the confirmation from disney travel agency. I am feeling much better now and am terribly excited. I also want to apologize to everyone for my sudden onset of panic. We are heading down December 17 until the 24 at pop century WOOHOO I am chair dancing now and reading everything I can about this place lol. :banana: :yay: :grouphug: :bounce: :hippie:

Hi everyone...it's Sandy just posting to clarify....mojophone did not give me his bank info (there would be no need for that), rather his VISA for the deposit which is linked to his bank account. As he said, all is verified and well...there were just a few minutes between when he posted and when he contacted me with the concern until we were able to quickly verify everything.

I am with an agency and a Certified Disney Travel Specialist. I have booked many trips, including other DISers. Also, if you look up my user id, you will see I have been around for many years on lots of different forums.
