Isn't this phase of SouthBeach very similar to Atkins induction? What have you found to be the differences so far?
Congratulations on such a BIG loss to start with.
I think it works on very similar principles. The big difference is there are a lot more vegetables involved, a lot less fat. Over all you would have to call this a "healthier" diet in some ways.
I do get the same "not hungry" effect although DW didn't.
I am finishing the second week of Phase 1 and I have lost 10 lbs. I started Atkins for three weeks before that, so my toal is 20 lbs. I am so excited. The beach works great for me!
DH and I have been doing the South Beach for about 5 weeks. I really think its been great. I lost 12 lbs. and I have been doing a little cheating. DH is down 14 lbs. I don't feel hungry and I don't even think about sugar!
