I can't imagine the school wants the usual disgruntled parents right there at their doorstep to complain!!!!

Ours is posted on a Friday after the school office is closed...you can be disgruntled all you want but can't do a thing about it until at least Monday.

Here in Elementary School, we go the day before school starts to meet the teacher, get supplies and sign up for extra-curricular, lunch, etc.

Middle - HAH! They go the day before school starts to find their homeroom, but no schedule or map until the first day of school (6th grade).

Bus routes are in the newspaper and online about 2 weeks before school starts...the stops and times change significantly every year so we always have to check.

As far as schedules, middle school and high school go in on a designated day the week before school starts and pick up their schedule. Elementary school has "open house" the friday before school starts and it's posted on a big board all the teachers and the class lists.
