Which one is right,

the position of teacher's assistant at your school

or

the position at your school of teacher's assistant

???

How about

The teacher's assistant position at your school.....

It has fewer prepositional phrases. :teacher:

would something else be better?

It depends on the whole sentence. It sounds like it's a job letter....if you send me the whole sentence, I can recast it for you.

Thanks!

I think that "the teacher's assistant position at your school" sounds best. Good luck with the job -- if you have any questions, let me know! I had this job last year! FUN!

This is what I have now. I don't know why I keep putting so many prepositional phrases in this, I never did that with my papers in college...

"I am attaching my resume in regard to the ad in the (newspaper) for the position of Teacher's Assistant at your school"

it's "with regard" not "in regard"

I would actually change the sentence to:

"Please find enclosed my resume in response to your school's ad in (name of newspaper) for the position of Teacher's Assistant."

If I overstepped, just let me know!

I like yours better, but I always like to put: "Enclosed, please find my..." I think it reads better but it is a matter of personal preference.

Please -- let's not stray off topic here. The question was about grammar -- not spelling. :teeth:
