Alright so we are booked for 8 days at Disney for Christmas we had originally planned to take a day or two to go to Universal after talking about it we figured US and IOA deserved more then that. Plus with the heavy crowds at Disney we probably wouldn't make it out of there. My kids, especially my DS, want to do US/IOA so we are now planning to do a week next year there next year. How bad is US during Christmas time as bad Disney? Not that it really matters until I ask the next question.

Is staying on site at Lowes or HRH really worth it. My kids so want to stay at the Nick hotel I priced out Lowes Club room for this Christmas and its really only about $500 more then the Nick hotel is the $500 worth it? I don't think my DH would be for split stay or if that is at possible.

I know I still have a long time to think about it but I have to convince DH that taking another trip next year is worth it. Right now I am using getting Disney and US/IOA done atleast once before our oldest turns 10 and then we pay more for her. Its working but I am sure I am going to need some more good details to convinve him.
TIA

I would definately recommend staying onsite during Christmas week. The crowds are just as bad at Universal as they are at Disney and Sea World. If you stay onsite, you will get FOTL access for every person in your group which will greatly help with the wait times. Definately think about it.

Thanks for the info!! I think I have DH convinced to stay on-site next year. Of course I have to wait and see what the rates are first but I think he might be sold. I think we may do 4-5 nights on site and 2 nights at the Nick hotel for the kids!!

Thanks again! now I have something else to obsess over once we get back from Disney!!!

I was thinking of the
Nick Hotel for a few days for our boys until I did a search for it on here. To me it's not worth it. Do an advanced search and check out what others have said.

I know I've read them all. We had originally booked the Nick hotel for our stay this Dec. but after reading them I didn't think DH and I could handle it for a week so we went with Disney instead. The kids really want to do it so thats why I figured we would do 2 nights there next year. 2 nights is all I think DH and I could handle LOL. I'm going to go look at the reviews again though and maybe I won't put us through the torture and tell the kids that being down in FL should be good enough LOL.

Thanks
