if you dont remember i was going for an admin position at a school. That was back in may and they called to set up a second interview on next week. Now my question is what should i expect from this. I have never gotten this far before i am very excited but just dont know what to expect. :confused3

IF YOU HAVE ANY TIPS PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I WANT THIS JOB!!!!! :yay:

Sorry, I have no advice for you... I've never had to go through an interview, thank goodness. But I can give you :grouphug: & pixiedust: . And all the luck in the world. I am sure the schedule would be fantastic!!! My sister was trying to get a similar job and I remember how excited she was about it. Good luck!! :cheer2:

Who completed your first interview? I am a retail manager and I have an assistant that completes all first interviews for me. My schedule is so full and it takes up so much of my time to interview people that might not be a right fit for our store. So, kudos to you for making the first cut!!! Usually my second interviews I pull directly from my assistants notes. I know that if they are being scheduled for a second interview with me, than they posess the qualities we are looking for. Usually the second is just a confirmation interview to meet with you and set up a training schedule. Good luck!! The hard part is over and it should be smooth sailing from here. :thumbsup2

Thank you i interviewed with a panel. The principal ,the assist princpal ,the lead secretary and another office assistant.

Well rest assured you are definitely in the running. I work in HR and do almost all of the first interviews and will sit in on the seconds at times. First know that we don't call people back for a second unless we are seriously considering them for the job. Sometimes a second interview for us is just confirmation of what we saw in the first interview and to make the offer. At others it's because we have narrowed it down to 2 or 3 candidates and we want to ask a few more questions and at times get another viewpoint from someone who wasn't in on the first interview. Good Luck - you definitely have a GREAT chance of getting the job.

Another HR person here. Sounds like their interested in you to bring you back a 2nd time. I would say just act the same as you did the first time, it obviously worked for you. There have been times that we interview someone who we like and the second time it's like they were a different person.
Showing interest in the organization and enthusiasm helps too.

Best of luck to you! :)

Just like everybody else has already told you, do whatever you did the first time around since it worked for you;) At this point, really the only thing you can do to further prepare is learn anything and everything else you can about the school. Look up the school website and read through it. Come up with a couple of questions that you can ask about the specific job (not benefits or pay) you are applying for. Chances are, they will ask you if you have any questions for them and IMO, it's always good to have a couple of questions. Good luck!!

One more thing, it's always a good idea to be the last person interviewed. Also, don't forget to send a thank you letter after the interview. Call the person back that scheduled the 2nd interview and ask them who you will be interviewing with (it is also ok to ask how many people are interviewing on that day). Ask for the correct spelling of their names, a fax number and a mailing address. Write a thankyou letter for each person now and have it prepared to fax immediately after you walk out of the interview. Go to a UPS Store and pay to fax it if you must - immediately following your interview. Then, once the fax goes through, put your originals in pre-prepared envelopes and drop them in a mailbox. Even if all of the same people have the same fax number and same mailing address, fax individually addressed letter to each person and mail them individually, as well. Thankyou letters are ABSOLUTE must do's no matter what level of job you are applying for and sometimes will give you the edge while competing with stiff competition!
