"“Paint the Night” parade will continue nightly performances, just before “Disneyland Forever” fireworks, through September 5 as part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration. And I’m excited to share today that this popular parade will return on select nights during the holiday season later this year."

Good news is that we are not loosing PTN to another park.

  • "Future plans have not yet been determined, but at this time there are no plans to bring “Paint the Night” to Walt Disney World Resort.

Same person said this after that other comment.

Future plans for “Paint the Night” have not yet been determined.

Really at this point after a its few select nights during the holidays nothing is for sure. But, once MSEP starts there would be a pretty much guarantee that both won't run. I personally see it coming to WDW at some point next year, but that is just my guess.

We have no idea whether "select nights during the holiday season" for PTN means just Christmas week or if it means weekend nights the entire holiday season.

I would put serious money on PTN going somewhere sometime in the near future. Or MSEP is being retired after a very short run. They won't "keep" both parades at DLR.

Interesting. I think I read somewhere that the height of some of the floats in PTN were the reason that the garland couldn't be hung over Main St., so I'm curious to see if the garland goes up this year.
