In the 6 times we have been to Disney, we have only ever had dessert after dinner once. There is just so much food that we are full after eating.

Does this mean I have to turn in my dessert lovers card? :bitelip:

I LOVE dessert but rarely if ever get it while out to dinner. There is just too much regular food and lots of time I bring home leftovers. The only reason I had desserts on our last trip was that I had the meal plan and half the time didn't eat all of my meal so I could eat that, the other half I brought it back and ate it as a late snack.

Don't worry, you can keep your dessert card. :goodvibes

I'm a nibbler. I eat like a horse and I'm always hungry, but instead of eating a platefull of one thing I'll get a bite or two of everything. So tehre is usually still a lot of food left on my plate when dessert rolls around. :cool1:

Thank you for letting me keep my card. :)

Sparx, good idea, try not to eat all of the good food so there is room for dessert. :thumbsup2

I never eat sweets of any kind. You should see the looks we get from waiters on cruises! :rotfl: But after a couple of days they come to accept that yes, it's true, we won't have dessert, not even once, not even this really special one that the chef makes only when it's a full moon LOL.

Are you diabetic? Or do you just really not care for sweets?

I can't fathom it! Dessert is the best part.

And we always at least split a dessert at Disney.

You can keep your card! :teeth:

I love dessert too, but those entrees at Disney are so darn huge! I never have enough room for dessert so I am in the same boat as you. :) I've always thought it might be fun just to go out to eat for dessert only or start the meal with dessert first! :goodvibes

I'm not big on dessert, but will from time to time have something! Like you I am always full! :sunny:

I am trying to think if I have EVER had dessert there. A few late night snacks, like sugarless/crustless cheesecake at the Boardwalk Bakery after a tough day at Epcot on the walk back to the Swan, but I think that may be it.

llij and Dan, glad to hear that I'm not alone in not eating desserts in Disney. :)

I don't eat wheat, sugar, honey or any artificial sweeteners -- which doesn't leave much in the way of desserts LOL. My normal dessert is plain (unsweetened/unflavored) yogurt with nuts and if I really want something sweet, a few raisins or chopped dried apricots. Weird, I know :lmao:

I've never had a sweet tooth, but give me anything salty and crunchy... sigh!

We rarely ever get dessert when eating out at home. At Disney we almost always do.

The places at Disney have what seem to be special desserts. At home most places basically have the same thing.

Then again, it could be just in our heads and the we just go nuts on vacation.

Yeah, we never get dessert when eating out at home either. But like you said Disney desserts just seem special, guess that means making sure to have a few. :goodvibes

Hmm, I must be the exception LOL I can eat a decent size meal (most of it anyway) and then usually still fit in a small dessert or take one back to the room. My favorite at Disney is all those cheesecakes. Tye Dye cheesecake at the POP, the M&M cheesecake with caramel at Scifi Diner in MGM and lets not forget the Raspberry cheesecake at the food court in Epcot...YUM!

Tonight after eating a lobster tail, shrimp scampi and 4 fried shrimp I was still able to sock away 1/2 a slice of Key Lime Pie :) <oink oink>

Oh and for the record, we always seem to have some sort of dessert when I cook at home too. Atleast twice a week we'll have a cake or cookies/brownies. This week we've had brownies and thumbprint cookies. Last week we had Mississippi Mud cake and a Coconut Cake. We never eat the whole cakes, and usually share with neighbors or family, but I like to bake and we'll usually have a slice maybe an hour after dinner.

Doh (where is the smilie smacking its self in the forehead?) never thought to get a dessert to go.

Nope never have dessert at home either, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The kid and I split meals at Disney so we have room for dessert! Our favorite pastime is getting desserts from various countries around the World Showcase.
