My built in wifi stopped working Wednesday morning. It worked fine when I turned my computer off Tuesday night. I get up Wednesday and I'm told I have to download new updates from Microsoft. When that is all said and done my wifi wouldn't work. Have been hardwired ever since. I called HP and spent around 6 hours on the phone with them while they worked on my computer. The guy even had me open up the back and remove the wifi card and reinstall it. No good. He said I would just have to send it in.
Right now, that just isn't an option as I need my computer. So I today went to go purchase an external USB wifi. I get home and put the disk in my computer. My computer tells me the drivers are loaded. The next thing I know my built in wifi is NOW working.
How is that?
I have put the disk and the USB wifi back in it's box and things are back to normal.
