if you're a prude, then so am i. no way in the world i'd let my 7 year old (if i had one-DD is now 12) listen to that garbage. as i said, my DD is 12, and doesn't listen to ke$ha. probably doesn't even know who she is. her mp3 player consists of miley cyrus, selena gomez, the jonas brothers, nsync, backstreet boys and some classic pop and disco. we've never had an issue with inappropriate music...at least, not yet.
They don't even play that stuff at our schools events, the kids are really not into Miley anymore or the Jonas brothers. Most don't know who the backstreet boys or nsync are LOL. We do ask the DJ's for the school events that are there not play things like Flo Rida- you spin me right round or anything that has major foul language in it- but Tic Tok is played as are many other songs. We did have to run up to one at one event and ask that he stop playing the song he had put on- he said kids had requested it but he really should have known better- he had on Birthday Sex by Jerimih (not sure of that spelling)...but geez...
