As far as whether or not the other parents let their kids listen to stuff, I just tell my kids I'm parenting them, not their friends.
Yes, she'll hear that stuff elsewhere, but I don't have to pay for it, and she won't hear it over and over again the way she does the stuff on her iPod.

) and I'm in my twenties! Whether or not it goes over their head is irrelevant, my child won't be listening to such music. Not that there's anything wrong with the parents who DO let their kids listen to it-- I just will say no, for my kids. And OP, you have every right to as well.
