Now, on InSession Live. I am SO enjoying seeing him looking like a scared, trapped animal. I hope he gets the maximum allowable sentence.

I wish they would get to it already! Though it was interesting how they tried to compare them to confederate soldiers:rotfl:

:confused3 I don't know where I stand on this exactly - I do believe he should be punished for THIS crime - but you can't add past issues into it, and it just seems that is what everyone is doing...

I hope he gets the max for this crime. Which is life.

I love how his lawyer said many MANY times how "stupid" he and his actions were. LOL

Yeah, he didn't know any of his actions were ILLEGAL. If he has such a hard time figuring out what's legal and what's illegal, maybe he just belongs IN PRISON.

I mean, after all...didn't he once say that IF he had murdered his ex-wife, it was only because he LOVED her so much? See...a problem with understanding things...love = murder...not good!

I cant believe he had the nerve to say " I was just trying to get my wifes wedding ring back for my daughter".:sad2:

I agree. Right or wrong, a jury found him not guilty of those murders. I would hate to be found 'not guilty' of a crime and then, over a decade later when found guilty of a different crime, the jury and judge decide to 'rectify' what they feel was a past mistake and load up my sentence. It has a vigilante feel to it.

I agree, as well. While I fully believe the jury got it wrong in his murder trial, it would be just as wrong for this judge to hand down a sentence for this crime based on anything other than this crime.

I think the general public (including me), right or wrong, would like to see him pay for the crimes he got away with; natural reaction. I'm not saying that this sentence should take that into consideration. I am saying tho that I will THOROUGHLY enjoy a stiff sentence. However, it's the judge who will be sentencing him, within legal guidelines. I don't think she's chomping at the bit to "right a wrong". His lawyers stood there today and said that there's no doubt he committed the crimes, so the jury's decision was correct. And as I said, with that verdict, the judge will make the decision.

16 years, with possibility of parole after 5 years. He looked in shock.

Years of being "above" it all, have finally caught up.
