Anyone been to VB in the last week or two? the online VB news talks of large oil globs (not silver dollar size, but 5-6 inches across) coming in to shore, from the strong easterly winds - apparently some ships clean out their holds in the shipping lanes, and when the winds blows in for several days, oil globs (usually small ones) come ashore - this time it is supposed to be particularly bad, north as far as Sebastian Inlet and far to the south. yuck. We have been there when there were small globs, and even those were a big nuisance to get cleaned off your feet.

Yuck, sounds like it's worse down around Boca/Hobe Sound but still not great in Vero. They also had a mine wash ashore in Hobe Sound.
