I wish I lived as close to Kings Island as you do Laxmom, MY DF and I got engaged goin up backwards on the racer!

Well you may not want to hear that when Kings Island opens in a few weeks both racer cars will be going forward for the first time in 26 years. Many
people down here are quite upset. KI says its wants to bring the coaster back to its old glory and we are not buying it. Alot of us were excited with Cedar Fair purchase KI but now not so much base on this decision.

As a side note I grew up in Akron and I am also sad to see what is happening to geauga lake/sea world area. I hate to see the Big Dipper torn down as that was my first coaster.

Wow, what rock have I been under!! I hadn't heard that! I couldn't do the backwards ones anyway; made me sick. I wonder what else they are changing?

95 is my year and yes they are going to tear the old school down. No loveloss for me the the place is pretty bad floods all the time.

Oh, I do remember the basement classrooms flooding. I didn't mind it because it meant an extra study hall!

Woa, I was 79. A looooooonnnnnnnggggg time ago, it seems. Here is how long ago....Ken Roethlisberger was the HS quarterback when I was in jr hi.

I had hoped things would improve when Cedar Fair bought KI. Guess not. Paramount was difficult to work for. DS had applied for a summer job and they never called him back. He accepted another job. Low and behold, KI calls one day and claims he never showed up for work. He told them, "I never filled out tax paperwork, got uniforms, got a phonecall or got a shedule. I have another job." They said "well, ok, but you can't apply here for a year if you quit." He told them, "I never was offered a job!!!

We are actually Deerfield Township with a Mason address. We really love this area but it is growing so fast!! I have heard it said that Warren is the fastest growing county in Ohio. It has changed so much in the 11 years we have been here.

Another Ohio DVC'er. I grew up in Akron. I lived and worked for years in Cleveland. My last job was working for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Now I am about an hour southwest of Cleveland in a small rural community called Wooster.

Hi Neighbors! Our neighbor 5 houses down is also a member and we have another neighbor who lives a block over "thinking" about DVC. We should have an "owners meeting" somewhere! I am amazed at how many of us are so close in NE Ohio!

While I'm not from Ohio, I will be visiting your Cleveland airport next Satirday! Can anyone give me the weather forcast for that day there? Flying from Maryland to Cleveland to Florida!! I have a feeling I will be hitting 3 types of weather seasons!! Just tell me no snow, and all will be great!

We had alittle bit of snow yesterday, but it is suppossed to be in the 60's to 70's by the weekend. However, this is northeast Ohio and the weather changes every minute around here.

Well I'm about 90 miles west of Cleveland airport and we are supposed to be dry this week. Chilly today but warming up during the week. 72 by Friday.

Disclaimer:We were supposed to have a soggy coolish weather last week. We got sunny and temps 5-10 degrees higher than forecast.
