Just phoned complete orlando to confirm the quote and book for november.Problem is they dont give a VA booking reference, and dont give access to book seats till 3 weeks before the flight:scared1: Now for those that know me,im as claustrophobic as they come and when she said this I panicked and told her I coldnt book. I explained that there is no way I can risk leaving it that late to end up sitting in the middle seats Plus my mom will have her wheel chair and will have had her knee replaced 12 weeks before we go and there is no way she can sit there either.Do you think if I phone virgin special assistance they will be able to give me any advice? I donr care where we sit as long as it is 2x2.I would have preferred to pay for the extra leg room seats for my mom but understand these are few and far between.Hope I dont sound snobby.Sarah the TA for complete orlando is going to call back tomorrow morning.I really want to book because of the good price but then dont want to end up in a middle seat. She did say that she would put special notes on but couldnt guarentee anything which I totally understand. Good side she will ring with my disney ref number to book ADRS which takes about 3-4 days to come through. What would you do. DB said would go to the airport early as well as flight is the later one(which Iv never done).Sorry for being a pain

Alyson, even pre selecting your seats isn't guaranteed. I did 11 months out and we were moved on departure day for the outbound flight.

Call VA and find out what they say. I am not convinced that you won't be able to get that flight locator. Does anyone on here know the format of the CO reference numbers? The Disney UK ones work on the VA website and you just have to add in extra info. It then generates your VA reference no to use in the future.

For what it's worth, not all seats are opened up as available to pre book anyway. Getting to the airport early is not a bad idea. If the price is good, I would book. But then to be fair, I don't have a phobia about flying. It's a tough one, but get your facts so you can look at your options first.

I know lee and after having a glass of wine iv calmed down a bit:surfweb:You know what its like.We all have to get everything planned in advance so we know we have done it and got what we wanted. Now come on you know I couldnt possibly have a pre holiday panic. Least I havnt got the visa issue:scared1::lmao:

I am going to call VA but they probably wont be able to advise anything really.

Somewhat annoyingly, they may not be able to help you until you have booked :sad2: But if you do book and explain your phobia to them afterwards, I am sure they will be able to give you some advice and help.

It's a terrible position to be in, but your best bet is to sit this evening and weigh up what is the biggest consideration for you: the flight seat story or getting the package they have on hold for you.

How much more was it through Disney UK? If the difference isn't too great and you can afford to, perphaps it is worth considering paying the difference and doing that so that you have peace of mind

I am sure CO want to get your business though and the chances are that the TA you spoke to will be speaking to a supervisor anyway and you may find that some new info comes to light when she rings you in the morning.

The diif between disney uk and CO is only about £110 but that isnt the issue. As mentioned previously its the flights that are the problem and the fact I dont have the funds to pay up front fro flights and wont till around June time thats why I priced up CO as you can do a taylor made holiday so we can book OKW/one bedroom with FRee DDP(5 nights) 14 day tickets and flights for just over £3000 with a deposit of £584 and balance due 8 weeks before which means wont have to worry about flights.I phoned VA assistance line and the lady was lovely. She told me not to worry as they check all their bookings 2 weeks before and any special assistance/disability for medical reasons as long as it is noted on the booking they will honour seats. She told me that if the TA phoned them they would look at the booking themselves earlier but told me not to worry. So I have decided to book and if worst comes to worst I will just pop more pills:lmao: I am going thats it and cant risk the prices going up if I wait till june. Thanks for your help lee

I'm missing something I think, Alyson (I'm going to try and excuse myself by explaining that it's been one of those weeks ). Can you not book Disney UK flight inclusive? That's what I was asking about when I asked re. the price difference. I booked flight inclusive with them for last year and paid the deposit. The balance was only due 8 weeks before departure, as with the hotel only bookings.

have you flown virgin before?

When I have booked with jetsave I've then rung Virgin Flying Club and they've given me the number so I can book the flights - but I've only managed to get the number about 3 months before departure

Your making me think now.:happytv: Let me explain.
I have cruise booked 13/11 and doing DVC at the end,so need to book 5 nights onsite with tickets to get DDP. Disney wont let me part book the accomodation and all the flight. That was my question earlier but you said you didnt think they wld do it and I phoned them an they dont. CO will do though with the low deposit.Do you understand now lee?

.Do you understand now lee?

Yes, thank you :thumbsup2 Sorry, I did say it had been a crazy week  I was with you on what you wanted to do with the Disney UK. I didn't realise that CO was allowing you to book flights that didn't coincide with your accommodation. I am totally with you now. :)

That was a good suggestion about the Frequent Flyer Club. Worth considering.
