Guess who I just got to meet and have my picture taken with!!!

Andy Thomas and Wendy Lawrence of the Discovery crew!!

One of my friends works with the crews (her crew is going up in 2 flights I think) and I was over at her building to meet up with them for lunch. Well after every successful flight, the training crews decorate this wall in their building with funny sayings and events from training. We were looking over "the wall" when here comes Andy Thomas in his blue suit! I had my camera to get pictures of the wall for DH, so my friend stopped Andy and asked if they could get my picture with him. After a confused look from him (after all, I have a JSC badge...) and a chuckle because I was bubbling, we got to get a picture. And as he was about to walk off, here came Wendy so I got a picture with both of them!

I didn't get to say much to them because they were both in a hurry, but HOW COOL!!!!

I'm definitely uploading this picture when I get home. I'd do it now, but don't have a card reader here at work.

I was about 4 barstools away from Mickey Rooney and his wife on Wednesday night at a local bar. I was pretty excited about that! Seems he has a summer house in the next town.

Whoa...the only thing I ever got to do was be part of the "Challenger Crew" at the Challenger Discover Central...we got to "run" the spaceship. I was head communicationalist (head communications person).

'Spacecraft, this is Mission Control, I have a message for the Med crew, over..." Good times!
