We went Dec 2003. My 7 (at the time) yr old was a picky eater and didn't want to try the food. He ordered from the kids menu and we also ordered mac and cheese for our then 23 mos old. My 5 year old ordered from the kids menu because his brother did, but liked the Ohana food so much, he didn't even touch the kids food. His fav was the pork. The waiter was great with the kids and always checked to see if they wanted to try anything new he brought out. We plan on eating there this Dec also. DH and I loved it!
If your child won't eat the stuff offered (pork, chicken, shrimp, etc) the waiter can get a kids meal next door at Kona Cafe - so you can check their menu at www.allearsnet.com to see what they offer. They might enjoy the food, though - it's yummy and fun!
Now, some waiters have charged for the 'Ohana buffet price regardless, and some have just charged for the kids meal, it's just up to them.
