Ohanas with a peanut allergy.

I know disney is excellent with dealing with allergies but worried about peanut sauce reside on tables/chairs from previous diners.

I have a severe allergy to peanuts and tree nuts if I ingest them and peanut dust when exposed to massive amounts of it airborne. I would not hesitate to eat dinner at Ohana's if that was my only allergy. Speak with the chef, don't get the peanut sauce, and wipe down the table and chair with wipes I bring myself.

My problem is I also have a severe seafood allergy, and react to airborne seafood. Since they cook seafood and most people will be having it, I can't eat there.

YMMV. IF there are contact or airborne PN allergy concerns, that would change the equation.

It is a concern. Peanut sauce is brought to all tables unless otherwise requested. So the people eating before you will have most likely had it at their table. The people eating at all the tables around you will most likely have it at their tables. It is possible it will be on hands and surfaces.

Is the family member an adult or child?

I wouldn't. The tables are close together. You cannot expect the people sitting next to you not to have peanut sauce. Of course, it does depend on the severity of the allergy, and maybe airborne peanut doesn't bother the person in your group. But there are so many restaurants at Disney, why not pick something else?

You have to make your own judgement call for yourself and your own family members knowing the severity of your allergy and how you react.
My DDs have peanut/tree nut and other allergies that are present at 'Ohana and we have eaten there many times.
On our most recent trip a few weeks ago, we had them wipe the table down extra carefully with a new towel and we followed with Clorox wipes.
Of course we did not have the peanut sauce at our table and the chef accommodated all of their other allergies. (Although he was grumpy lol...)
It can be done safely but only you can assess that risk.
Honestly, it's just not as good as it used to be and we probably won't be back but they took care of all our allergy needs as Disney does.

Ds has a peanut, egg, sesame, tree nut and contact Ana milk allergy. We have done well there, just asked them not to bring peanut sauce to table. My protocol eating out is to wash the table where he’s eating, underneath the table, and the chair with antibacterial wipes. With the milk, we really have to do this everywhere as that one is so hard to avoid. I don’t know how he reacts to peanut but his numbers are over 100 to peanut and milk.

I have an ingestion-only peanut allergy and we ate there for breakfast and dinner and I was ok. I am an adult though, so I knew not to grab food that had not been brought to me. If you're talking about a child who would be tempted to grab food off others' plates and/or someone with a more severe allergy, I might avoid it.

I myself have a peanut allergy and while I've been tempted about trying Ohana since I keeping hearing it's a "must do", I can't bring myself to do it--I'm more worried about having to dine next to other tables eating peanut sauce. I don't want to spend that kind of money on a dinner I can't fully enjoy.

We have chosen not to eat there with our PA child. We love Ohana but peanut sauce everywhere just makes me anxious. Spills happen and servers are handling so much food and clearing dishes. Kids are eating the sauce and then running all over the place doing the activities. Just what we have chosen to do.

My son has a peanut allergy and they were fantastic. They brought him different bread and made him up a special dessert because they couldn’t guarantee the coconut hadn’t been in contact with peanuts. They made him feel extremely special instead of being excluded

Disney is extremely good at allergies but not perfect. a friend of mine has a son with multiple allergies and ended up with an ambulance called at epcot when he reacted to something at a previous meal (I can't remember the restaurant but I believe it was a resort breakfast). with an allergy as severe as peanuts are for most and the stickiness/ease of spreading peanuts around I'd not risk it personally. I'd go places where it's not so hard to contain
