Ohana's- Should We Try It ??

Personally we really enjoy the food at 'Ohana and seem to eat there on every trip. I think it's worth the money (although Boma wins as our favorite restaurant hands-down).

The ambience is fun and the service has always been great. If you sit in front of the cooking area it's more "in the action" (kids have hoola hoop contests, coconut races, etc...). They also have a few tables behind the cooking area that are good if you're looking for a bit of quiet.

You can make a PS for the time around the fireworks and they pipe the music in and you can see them from the restaurant. We enjoy doing our PS earlier then heading to the beach. grabbing a drink and watching the firewroks and water parade from the beach.

We tried Ohanas for the first time on our trip in October and we will definitely be back in July!!! It was really a good meal - and a nice atmosphere. Our table had a nice view, and we would have been able to see the fireworks. (We finished with dinner earlier than expected and we went down by the beach to watch!)

It is an "all you can eat", but its served family style so they bring the food to your table. It is a little high for dinner (especially for a family), but we really had a great time and my DD loved the hula contest and the coconut race!

Be sure to try the Lapu Lapu - really good....

We really love Ohana, we have gone twice and both times had great food and great service. My children are older so they did not participate in any of the games.
To me it is well worth the money, there is plenty of food, just do not fill up during the day you are going so you have plenty of room.
Our last visit we were lucky enough to sit near a window so we had a great view of the fireworks in MK.
If you have children that want to play in the games ask to sit nearer to the middle of the room, if it is an adult group ask to sit towards the outer part of the room.

We loved O'hanas. The food was fantastic. My DD loved the setting. Overall it was a fun experience with great food. We will definitely go again.

After countless trips to WDW, we went to O'Hana for the first time this past Dec. Myself, 2 DD's, 1 son-in-law and 2 granddaughters. We had a very good time and really enjoyed the food.

It was a little crowded and the children's games were a little too hectic for our little ones, but they still had a good time.

I would definitely go back.

We ate there for the first time in December and loved it. We'll definately be back on some future trip. We had a great seat right next to the windows. Too early for the fireworks, but still a great view.

The service was wonderful and so was the food.

A quick question-

My wife & I will be the only people in our party.
Do we get a table for two OR do they put us with another family ?
My wife isn't big on sharing a table w/people she doesn't know.

We ate and ate and ate. My DH fasted all day to get the most out of this meal. Especially if you have kids who will enjoy the games, or are lucky enough to be able to view the fireworks, it will be worth it. The service was extremely friendly and quick as well.

What if you have a very fussy eater, a 12 yr. old boy
We felt the last time it was such a waste a money because
he didn't eat at thing! It made me kindof cranky.

I don't know what age is considered a child, but my DD ordered chicken fingers and fries and was served whatever she wanted from the adult meal.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I thought you should hear an opinion from the other side. I ate at Ohana's for the first time last July and was disappointed. My kids refused to eat and my DH and I were not thrilled with the food. It was ok, but not great. I thought it was alot to pay for a meal we didn't thoroughly enjoy. I wouldn't reccomend it. I know others love it. Sorry if I offended anyone.

In early March my family had reservations at 'Ohana. *I booked the priority seating for my family and my parents.* This made me very nervous. You see my dad and husband are both meat and potatoes type of guys. They have a very narrow food preference realm.

So the evening of our PS, I was fairly overwhelmed with nerves. I just wanted everything to be perfect. A. it was my parents first trip to Disney B. It was my 30th birthday C. I wasn't sure how the food would taste.

Let me say this one word to describe the experience.......... EXCEPTIONAL.

The food was fabulous. I so want the recipe for the green beans! The men even loved it. The service was impeccable. The games for the kids were cute. The ukelele player was hilarious.

Our girls 9 and 6 were a bit apprehensive to play the games, but eventually went over to play. They LOVED it.

So then the bill came... and 4 adults, 2 kids, it wasn't bad. Even my cheap buns didn't mind forking over the $150 or so for the bill.

Now here is an important note.... This dining experience was Thursday. Friday all the guys could talk about was 'Ohana. They LOVED it. My dad said he couldn't wait to go back!

So guess where we ate Saturday? OHANA!!! Same quality food, service and atmosphere. Too much food in that time span, you bet.

I would give Ohana a BIGGGGGGGgg thumbs up!!!!!!!! We also viewed Wishes both nights and it was phenomenal!

I don't like that either! You should certainly be seated at a table for 2. There are multiple two person tables.

I think that maybe my experience was bad at Ohana's b/c I went at 5 pm. There was no ukele player or anything like that. That would have been fun!

You do not have to share tables, the tables are just like any other restaurant.
The fact that serve family style just means that they come around with skewers of food to each table but they give you as much as you want. The appetizers are served on a lazy susan with plenty for the whole table.

Yes we love the atmosphere but when we were there by ourselves it was the one time we really missed DD's as it is their favorite too.
In disney prices this is a great deal!
