I was just told by a friend that Ohana is doing Chips & Salsa now as a starter/appetizer. I don't see it anywhere on menus, is this true? I totally believe they were recently served that but I just want to make sure it is being served all the time.

Anyone know? We love chips & salsa.

It's wontons with dipping sauces. I'd guess San Angel Inn serves chips & salsa.

They said that wontons are gone and chips & salsa are in. Anyone been there super recently? I just made an ADR for dinner in Sept there.

Thanks for the help! :)

As far as I know, the old wontons are gone, but they serve a wonton chip with dipping sauces. So not quite the same as chips and salsa but along the same lines.

Just there last Saturday (6/3/06), and it was wonton chips (crispy/salty and very good, not similar at all to tortilla chips) with 3 dipping sauces (peanut, and two others that I don't remember, but all were good).

No chips and salsa. I guess you could classify the wonton chips as chips, but none of the 3 sauces resembeled salsa.

allears has the description

Fried Wontons served with peanut sauce, chimichurri sauce and harissa

ARGGG!! I loved those wontons!!! Oh well hopefully the chips are almost as good..Why must they always change the good stuff!!! lol

I just wanted to add for those who love salsa and chips, that the Tambu Lounge (which is attached to and part of 'Ohana) offers tortilla chips and salsa on their small appetizer menu. You can order these with a drink or two while you wait for your seating at 'Ohana, or just stop by for them. It's been awhile since we did this, but I think they still have them.

The wonton chips with the peanut sauce.... yum!

I would happily visit Ohana if the menu consisted solely of Wonton chips with peanut sauce, honey coriander wings, maui potatoes, the salad and the bread pudding.
