We're leaving next week for a week at BCV, first time onsite since '96! While most of our meals will likely be in the boardwalk, beach club, epcot vicinity, I want to try one MK resort meal. Last year we tried Boma's and loved it. Part of the experience is to check out the resorts as well, since we haven't seen either. We have two kids 12 and 9, and I'm not sure what their reaction will be if we get truly boisterous servers, or if they will want to participate in the games. My youngest as a rule will avoid eye contact with strangers. But just watching will be interesting. Any suggestions on either one over the other (O'Hanas/Whispering Canyon)? Maybe we'll have to do both!
I like your thought of doing both. We love OHanas and just did Whispering Canyon for the first time on our trip last April. Our DS's were 10 and 3 at the time. DS10 loved it and can't wait to go back. DS3 was a little more reserved and our server really picked up on that and was careful how he interacted with him. He didn't push it w/ him, but he also didn't leave him out. We are planning on doing both during our Christmas trip (and hopefully sooner if we can squeeze in a surprise trip
) Our first time to OHanas our youngest was too young to participate in the games, but the oldest loved it. He has now decided that he's too old to participate
but the youngest is ready to get in there with all the action. As far as the food goes, we enjoy both places. Thought the food was very good.
I've only been to Wispering Canyon for breakfast but the waffles are so yummy and they have bottomless smoothies!!
