Hi there
I'm planning a disney wedding and was wondering what is better for a party of 8. I already have PS at ohanas but I recently started considering 1900 PF. What do ya'll think?
TY:p

Not sure if you mean for breakfast or dinner?

We had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare on Saturday and thought it was pretty good. I love carousels so I thought the setting was great. Mary Poppins really fits well into this theme. The breakfast was delicious.

We had dinner at O'Hanas (window seat looking at castle) for the first time and thought it was fabulous! I had a hard time getting other members of my party to attend dinner there due to the hesitation of island food. This is definitely a family setting! We didn't have breakfast there so can't help you there.

Ty,So sorry for the confusion
It'd be for dinner,seeing as we're getting married @ 1pm.

Congratulations on your upcoming event!

Like I said, I loved the dinner at O'hanas but I'm not sure if you would appreciate the setting for your event. There were hula hoop contests, sweep the coconut races and children walking around dropping gummy worms after they 'won'.

I loved the dinner but it contained eating wings (messy hands) and a lot of singing and laughing. I'm not sure you are looking for that for your wedding dinner?

Each time we walked by 1900 Park Fare we saw characters greeting people. Goofy was in the lobby area greeting at one time, and Pooh was hunting around for honey another time we walked by.

I am not sure what your price range is, but what about California Grill at the Contemporary?
Congrats!!!!

Many warm Thank you's
Price is not a real concern.my mom had sugested the CG but wasnt sure if it was too late to make ressies.feel free to keep the 411 flowing it helps SO much.

O'hana is a MILLION times better than 1900 Park Fare in my opinion. But, I have to say NEITHER of them are really a good wedding choice. They are both packed with kids running around. What about something more romantic??? Here are some ideas:

Narcoosee's - GF
Palio's - Swan
CA. Grill - Contemporary
Artist Point - WL
Citrico's - GF
Flying Fish - BW
Yachtsman Steakhouse - YC
Fulton's - DTD
Portobello Yacht Club - DTD
Wolfgang Puck (upstairs) - DTD
Jiko - AKL

Good Luck planning! :)

I have to agree with the last poster, while we loved Ohana's it is defitntly not the place to have your wedding dinner I think I would pick someplace in the Grand Flordian (not 1900 park faire unless you are huge Pooh fans.) It is such a beautiful hotel and would make for some very nice wedding pictures.

Also in agreement here... we (wife, 2 college age daughters, and I) were at both about a month ago. We enjoyed both very much... we talked about 'Ohana a lot after we ate there (doing Lilo & Stitch takeoffs... we said things like... 'Ohana mean I can't eat anything else, etc.)... we loved it... as you can tell, we ate too much delicious food.... save room for the pineapple and caramel dipping sauce (no need to buy desert!)...
We also like 1900 Park.... but for different reasons... big variety of food and character interaction....
We had excellent servers at both places...
I agree with other posters... If you are looking for a serious or romantic meal... these are not the places (no slam... just not they atmosphere they want to project)... If it's just a bunch of adults getting together for a good relaxing time... I don't think you could beat 'Ohana... for something a little calmer and character fun... 1900 Park is very nice (try the bread pudding... mmm)
let us know what you decide... I was there 10 days... I ate lots of places if I can be of any help.... Liberty Tree Tavern was a lot of fun too... in a nice colonial setting with characters.

Thankx guys for all you're help, we actually decided to go with ohanas
we asked our family, gave them all the options and they agreed ohanas sounds fun and yummy. I think we'll save the romantic dinner for me and my dh.
