We ate at Ohana this past Tuesday. Do people actually eat that nasty shrimp? Not only was it incredibly hard to peel the shrimp looked like it had just had a big meal if you know what I mean! Just for the record, that dark filling in the middle isn't some kind of yummy stuffing. YUCK!
O'hana's and we visit EVERY trip!!!!!!! However, in all fairness... I do not eat seafood so I have no idea about the shrimp (or how its supposed to be for that matter either, but what you describe sounds gross)
Good grief, did they get a new seafood supplier or just completly let go quality!? Because I'm pretty certain our shrimp was DE-veined in Oct. If so, that's so disappointing.

which by the way, our waiter was probably one of the best we had on that particular trip...he was very personable and very accommodating.
Luckily, DH and I have been married long enough that he isn't fazed by the huge pile of shells in front of me and the fact that I've got shrimp juice practically up to my elbows...
Same here! We were just there in december...I will admit, the whole peeling your own shrimp annoyed me, but not enough to stop me from eating them!
Mmmm...shrimp. All I eat at Ohana (out of the main courses) is the shrimp. Skewers and skewers of it.
Sure, I'd prefer the already-peeled shrimp, but I can see why Ohana uses the cheaper stuff. With peeled shrimp, they'd lose money on my dinner for sure.
I agree with the PP about the coffee, though...it's not the same coffee as the Kona stand, I think it's the Nescafe syrup substance.
