I just read that the eggs at Ohana's family breakfast are made with heavy cream. Is this true? I have a milk allergy and would like to plan ahead. Maybe I could ask for some without? My Dd 9 wants to meet stitch so we have a breakfast here on our departure day. TIA

That explains why they are so good!

Just note your allergy on your dining reservation. If you already made your reservation, just call the dining reservation # and they will do it. The chef will come to your table before you order and go over everything. I'm sure they will make you some eggs without milk and cream. Every restaurant we went to had soy milk if you can have that.

Thanks, I usually stick to foods that I know are milk free. I didn't think they would scramble the eggs with milk and now will note that on all my ADR's from here on out. I would not want to ruin my vacation w/an allergic reation:sick:

Here's a link to WDW info about special dietary requests. Our son has egg and peanut allergies -- all the chefs were wonderful. Most simply asked what he likes to eat and cooked up something special. He survived the whole trip mostly on his favorites - mickey pasta, french fries, cheese pizza, peas, and strawberries! The chefs made some very creative desserts for him too. This is part of the reason we do the deluxe dining plan and eat mostly at the table service restaurants... it's easier to figure out the ingredients because the Chef is working with us personally.

Thanks so much for the link. I sometimes feel uncomfortable making special requests and just ask for plain meats and vegetables- no sauces, gravy, or anything with whipped in the name. I always decline dessert as well (just plain stinks sometimes). My Dh is the food taster if anything looks suspect I will usually just not eat it to be safe. When we ate at Coral reef last time the Chef and server were wonderful in helping me make the right choices.

So that's why they are so darn good! My DM (a little hard to please sometimes) has said they are the best scrambled eggs she has ever eaten. It's one reason why we've gone back to 'Ohana several times. The food is very good. :goodvibes

OP I'm sure Disney Dining can help you out.

Have a great trip.:goodvibes

They may also just scramble them with water if they need to change the prep.

I have always made my scrambled eggs using milk.

Our DS has an egg and peanut allergy also and I can't say enough good things about WDW. At each meal, buffet or otherwise, the chef came out to talk to us. They are so good about working with your allergies that it's one of the only places we don't have to worry about finding something for him to eat at.
