I was just reviewing my credit card statement and comparing it to my receipts from our recent trip, and our dinner for 4 at Ohana came to $97.92 with the DDE discount. My statement shows that they charged $119.92, which I presume was the full amount without the $22.99 discount. It's probably not worth worrying about, but if I should decide to pursue it, who would I call? Thanks! :confused3

Did you add the tip to the bill?

If it doesn't match your receipt, you need to file a dispute with your credit card company.

Thanks, Debbie B., Yes, the receipt shows that the total charged to the VISA should have been the lower amount. I'll follow through with Citibank. I appreciate your quick answer! :flower:

While they obviously overcharged you, it doesn't look like they charged you the full amount. $119.92, less 20%, comes to $95.94, not $97.92. I'd definitely call and ask about it though, since you have a receipt that shows the actual amount that you should have been charged. I'm sure Disney will clear it up for you.

Thanks, k and m, I'll try to get to the bottom of it. And to think that I don't usually go to the trouble of comparing my receipts to my statement! I'm wondering how many charges I've paid that were incorrect over my charging lifetime? :guilty:

I had an odd similar problem at 'Ohana this past trip. Bill for 3 was right around $88, paid with my credit card. The next night at Jiko my credit card was declined. DH had to use his card to pay for dinner, and when I called the card company they said I had 2 charges for $360 or so from 'Ohana on my card from the night before. I did a conference call with the manager at 'Ohana and the card company. They got it cleared up, the explanation I was given is sometimes the waitstaff confuses which bill goes with which card when running them. So make sure you keep track.

You have got to be kidding me. Waitstaff confused, which card with which bill. Ok, this is definately a training issue, fire this manager and bring someone in who can train their servers correctly in all aspect..ugh.

Agree-a mistake that COULD possibly happen, but the "explanation" makes it sound like it happens more frequently than it should.
Not sure I'd fire anybody right off the bat, but certainly something that might need looking into--

What?!

I've never heard of this "problem" where I work. The Disney computer system has the dollar amount for your check already in there. The server just needs to close the check. The only way it gets messed up like that is when the server manually puts in a different dollar amount or closes the check to the wrong credit card number.
