Can I bring my own alcohol to O'Hana's? We are getting married and want to bring several bottles of Champage for our party of 20 to have a toast. Also can we bring our own mini-cakes for each guest?

Thanks in advance!

I would call them ahead of time and inquire. Don't be surprised if they have an uncorking fee. With regard to the mini cakes, you should ask about those at the same time.

I would doubt it. May have to save for the room afterwards. You could always go to the beach behind the hotel and toast and have a snack I would imagine.

Most restaurants will allow it with a corkage fee...Disney though doesn't always play by the same rule. Best check early.

Not only should you check in advance, but make sure that (1) you talk to a manager at 'Ohana and (2) get the full name of the person you talk to. If you possibly can, talk to the "area manager" for the restaurant; that is Disney's term for what is often referred to as the general manager of a restaurant complex.

definetly check dznefreek with a manager at ohanas about you bringing in your own champagne. there may be a corkage fee like other disers mentioned or they might now allow private alcohol, which is my guess.

as for the cakes if you're getting them from the gf bakery i dont see a problem as the two venues work together on that but i would still check.
are you using ftw for the ceremony & such?

you dont want a bad situation on your big day, so definetly check this out. congratulations by the way!

Corkage fee $25.00 per bottle; rather steep I thought. As far as bringing a cake. . . no problem. I spoke with "Dan", GSM and he said they treat it like someone bringing in a birthday cake.

:earseek: $25 a bottle :earseek:

Do they have an alternative solution for you?

Yikes! That is high - did you ask for a price list of the champagne they have at O'hana? I guess you could compare to see which way would be better , to have yours uncorked at $25 a bottle or buy a few bottles there and then uncork yours later outside to watch the fireworks or something.

HEY DZNEFREEK!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
When's the BIG DAY!!????

Yeah, I'm bringing my Chandon at $13 because I cant afford to buy Champagne at a resteraunt!! The markup on all liquor is steep, they make good money there, so I imagine they dont want to be undercut by bringing it into the resteraunt. I'll still bring mine, save it for the resort tho!!

CONGRATULATIONS from our house to yours dszneyfreek :cheer2:

Enjoy your time!

Sounds about right. I paid $15 per bottle 16 yrs ago(in Indiana not WDW) when I got married. If they serve you they also take responsibilty for serving the alchol.
