Ohana

I checked yesterday and it would not let me book my ADR and now it is saying I can though July 5th (not even close to my whole trip, I am leaving the 15th). Can't get Ohana on the 4th, super bummed because I tried yesterday and now its so past sold out for the whole week. We've been coming since 2007 and never have not had two meals per trip at Ohana. We were hoping for a resort day at the Poly and Ohana for dinner. Does this even seem possible? I am gutted, which is dramatic but it is my favorite meal on property.

This is always the first ADR we book. Family favorite. However, our meal a couple of weeks ago was probably the worst we've had, only because of the entrees. The bread and that magical first skillet was still amazing. Wings, stickers and noodles all so good. But the steak, which we ordered medium rare and they nailed it was still like shoe leather. Chicken was bone dry. Shrimp was flavorless. Getting hard to justify the price as 2 of my kids are now Disney adults.

Oh and bread pudding still great.

pcdev just did a review on YouTube and said the same thing - food quality definitely down according to his review. He was disappointed.

Quick question. Are you staying at the Poly? I ask because I am wondering if they are only allowing Poly guests to book there since it is the 4th of July and they do restrict access to the hotel on that day. I know it will restrict mobile orders on certain holidays, not sure if they would do it for table service restaurants??? However if you are staying at the Poly, that theory is out the door!

Yes we are! One of the reasons was so we could eat at Ohana but not have to rush around to get there - fingers crossed I can find something! I know it is a busy day and a popular place to watch fireworks, was just hoping to get a reservation like we always do.

I've had luck getting reservations using those websites that send you a txt when something opens up. You just need to respond immediately when the alert comes in.

The names of the sites will get blocked out so I can't type them out, but Google and you'll find them. The one that ends in "diners" is MUCH more reliable than the one that ends in "watchers" so far, plus it's free unless you have more than half a dozen alerts set.

That "watchers" site sent me a few texts for the wrong date and I didn't see it until I had made the reservation, and had to cancel after thinking I'd scored. I triple-checked the alerts I'd set and they were correct, but the site was sending me texts for days I never put in an alert on. You also can't seem to cancel alerts, only modify them, the website code is a bit sketchy. The only reason I'm still using it is because the first site is only ADRs and I need an alert set for a backstage tour.

Good luck, I hope you get reservations!

Don't give up - 3 breakfast ADRs just popped up for May 16 out of the blue - all different times!

Now I have to decide whether to keep it or my lunch BOG!

Lots of Ohana breakfasts just opened up for every day of our June trip!!

I’m hoping that means characters are coming back. I grabbed one for our last day, just in case!

This is so weird. My phone started squawking at noon today with Ohana reservation openings. I had THREE PAGES of alerts, lunch and dinner times for almost every day of my trip all opened up at once. It's like a small army of people just cancelled a week's worth of reservations today or something; there were very literally dozens of them popping up for May 23rd - 28th. I moved my reservation so it's no longer on our very last day!

Hopefully it is not a glitch like in 2020 where they ended up canceling the glitch ADRs and giving out gift cards to compensate!

Almost all of the breakfast openings I saw for my week were super early or late morning, so I wondered if maybe they just extended the dining hours or something.

Man, it had better not be a glitch. I had a reservation before and I cancelled it today because I'd gotten a better one. If it turns out the better one was a glitch and not real, then I just lost the only one I was able to get.

I really am about to the point where they need to have a meal that is just the bread, first bowl, salad, and dessert. Those are always sooooo good. I really do not even need the meats!

Agree. I bet most would still get the entree platter but take a bit off the price and make it optional.
