We have a reservation for September for 2. We have since found out that my brother and soon to be sister in law will be going to WDW on their honeymoon over lapping a few days with our trip. I would love to add them to our ohana dinner and treat them but when I try to make the reservation for 4 nothing is available. Would I have more luck canceling my party of 2 reservation and hoping one for 4 opens?

I read recently that if you can get another party of 2 around the same time they may be able to seat you together. It seems like ‘Ohana is a tough one to get so you may want to hang onto your party of 2 and keep looking for a 2 or 4.

I woudl keep looking for a party of 2 or 4. This is not one I would just let go and begin again with. I also suggest a back up plan, because in the event you cannot add tot he party, it is not likely your family will be able to be added at the podium.

I agree with the above posts. I would not cancel and start over. You may also consider calling Disney Dining from time to time to see if they can help if you continue to have no luck doing it on-line. (407) 939-3463.

Touringplans.com has a free reservation finder where it will email you if a reservation for 4 opens up. You'll still need to have a little luck on your side to book it before someone else does, but I think it could help you.

For a real experience maybe open up options and try for Cal Grill. Keep looking. I guess you could always call and ask if you fine a 2 person reservation if you could combine -- they might say no because I believe they do have tables for 2, so essentially you could't take the 2 reservations and combine.

i would call the restaurant and see if they can change you to a party of 4. Otherwise, touring plans reservation is your best bet. They have found hard to get reservations many times.

The Touring Plans ADR finder tool found me an Ohana ADR about 30 days out! It’s free, can’t hurt!

Yep- Touring Plans reservation finder has come through for me every time! You do have to be quick once you get the alert.

We sometimes have had to get two different reservations for our party at Ohana and have always got seated together if we are under a party of 10. I would look for a party of 2 under someone else's MDE account. You can also look for 4 first. I will say that we always see Ohana get cancellations closer to our day.

Another testimony on TP finding Ohana ADRs. I used it to get 2 Ohana reservations about 4 to 6 weeks out though I had to get about 10 to 15 alerts before I was fast enough to act for each reservation. I am not good with technology and don't use a cell phone, just check my email now and then so others probably don't have to go through so many alerts from TP that they found the ADR.

Touring Plans reservation finder is a GEM!!!

Also, did you try to MODIFY your existing reservation using MDE (as opposed to creating a new one)?
