How is Ohana recently? Thinking of making an ADR for Nov. We haven't been to Ohana since 2000.

Do they still do coconut races and such for the kids?

I know the menu changed. Not concerned about the "old/new" potatoes :rotfl: and such but is the food decent?

Also kids can order a special meal correct, not the table service skewers, correct?

Thanks

We went in early April and it was awesome! The food was amazing and the kids were singing and dancing with a guy playing the ukelele. I cannot wait to go back there!

We are going to give breakfast a try next month

We've done OHana the last two May's. There's a lady playing music and does the coconut races, hula lessons and hula hoop contests. (I'm pretty sure my husband is in love with her). The food is fantastic even since the menu changes! We even have a picky kid who won't eat the regular meal so they let him order a kids meal. If you do this, make sure to order it early because it takes a while for them to make them! We highly recommend it and will go back each time we visit!!

I agree with the other posts. We love 'Ohana. The potatoes have been replaced by Pad Thai noodles but I have heard good things about the noodles. On top of that is the Banana Bread Pudding, our favourite dessert at WDW.

We  'Ohana's!

It's been a "must do" on every trip the last few years and has never disappointed!

We went to 'Ohana in Oct. 2007. I was a bit afraid that it would be too Asian inspired and we would find ourselves not eating anything. Man was I wrong. The food is great. They still have the kids' activities...coconut races, etc. The Maui scalloped potatoes were awesome. The meal left me wanting more of everything. The dessert was a coconut banana bread pudding ala mode. This was out of this world. The meats were prepared perfectly. I cannot tell you anything about the kids' menu as my son ate everything they brought with no complaints. If anything has changed, it could possibly be the appetizers.

Are you serious, they replaced the Maui scalloped potatoes, those were my fave. I am a little nervous about the noodle dish, as I am not a fan of noodle dishes. Glad to hear that they have kept the dessert.

I would def go here if you get the chance. The food is awesome and they never stop bringing it to you Cousin! ha ha. Ya the kids can order something special if they do not like the skewers of food. I would recommend going during wishes the firework show at the magic kingdom you can see the fireworks from there and they play music to go along with them. Its really sweet.

We love going to 'Ohanas and apparently so do half the vistors to Disney because we can never get a spot less then 2 months out. We have gotten chicken fingers and mac and cheese for our kids when they didn't want to try what was on the regular menu.
