I'm staying at French Quarter and have a 915 p.m. reservation for 'Ohana. Is my only option to get back to my resort taking a bus to Downtown Disney and then to French Quarter? That seems like it would take forever! Any other suggestions?

Ok I now see I should have put this in the How to get to Point A to Point B thread.......Sorry! Too many things to read on this site! I tried to delete this but its only letting me edit it? Don't know how to delete so don't yell at me please for posting this! lol

Yes it could take some time going from Poly to POFQ at that time via Disney transportation probably 90 minutes or so. The fastest way would be to have the valet desk hail you a taxi, the cost would be about $15 plus tip, and take approx 10-15 minutes.

No need to worry...it's fine here.
I would be very tempted to just use a cab back to POFQ....unless you really wanted to visit DTD for a bit.

Only $15ish for the cab? I guess the distance looked a lot further away on a disney map I was looking at and I was thinking it would end up costing me $30ish so I was shying away fom that but it looks like thats the way to go. Thanks! :)

One of our most magical moments at WDW occurred in just this situation. We were traveling with another couple and their dd..same age as my dd. The girls were about 7ish at the time.
The girls had been dropped at the NeverLand Club for the night, while the adults headed to California Grill. When we got back to the Polynesian to get the girls, we went out to the valet desk to get a cab back to POR. The guys there said, nah, you don't want a cab. Come on, we'll take you. So into a WDW white van we hopped, and they took us back. It was really fun to get to chat with them. Now, I"m sure that based on the time of night and it's not being very busy, these kids figured it was a nice break and they would probably make a decent tip...which they did. So, it's nothing I would count on happening again, but it was nice.
The funny, and somewhat sad, thing about that??? The other guy we were with is known for his 'money saving' attitude. So, he whispers to my dh...'So, do we tip these guys?' to which my dh replied..'Of course.'. The other guy says...'How much? Like two bucks?' I thought my dh was going to slug him!!! He told him to tip whatever he felt he should. So, the one guy tips $2, while my dh tipped them $10.

What times does MK close that night? If its open I would take the monorail over there and grab the bus from MK.

I would DEFINITELY avoid busing to DTD at all costs.

I would take a taxi. That is what we do when we do some meals at resort restaurants. So much easier and a nicer way to end the night then scrambling from bus to bus. We never spent more then $25 even with tip and that was from POFQ to AKL.

Monorail to MK then a Bus back to FQ maybe depending on park close and how long it takes you to eat
